Careful. The Pep homers will come for you for saying as much.

God forbid people criticize one of the highest, if not the highest, paid players in the league.

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2023/24

Bahaha. I'm not meaning to rub my feathers, but I've been saying all season that he's been shite and has ZERO business starting. If he's not locking down his side of the pitch as he has in the past, he's borderline useless, as he doesn't have an attacking bone in his body. Force Sterling to...

My point is there's zero chance that an academy player would have gotten the long leash that Alvarez has over the season. His G/A numbers are wildly flattering IMO.

    Pep Guardiola - 2023/24

Tell me again how he isn't playing favorites, blue moon?

LMAO. It's a good thing we're putting POTY out to the wing so we can shoehorn Alvarez, right, lads? I've been saying for months that Pep is playing favourites, and there was truth to the rumours that Alarez wasn't happy with his limited role last season.

LMAO. Tell me again, Blue Moon, how Alvarez isn't being held to a different standard than others?!

Will Pep and City fans talk about KDB turning it over before their chance? Of course, not.

I've been saying this for ages and am surprised I have yet to be banned. He's a good player, but if he was an academy player, there's NO WAY he'd have as long a leash as he has.

Winning the treble last season was incredible, but I don't know what to say if you think we're a better 'team' than we were in 20/21 or past Pep seasons.

Walker is useless. Good thing we gave him a deal for three more years.

Call me a boomer I'll never subscribe to kicking the ball out far a non-serious injury.

I've said this before and got shit on, as it's almost sacrilegious to criticise Pep and suggest that he's playing favourites. Don't get me wrong, Alvarez has played well this whole season, and I like him, but for nearly two months previously, he wasn't playing well and consistently maintained...

I usually agree with your takes, but from a quick look per 90: Dispossessed: Doku- 1.83 Grealish- 2.28 And that's with Doku averaging THREE times as many take-ons per 90. Doku's pass completion percentage is only 4% lower than Grealish's. Averaging almost one whole tackle + interception per...

Alvarez* for me. Akanji's pace is invaluable to us for a backline with little pace in it, bar Walker(who is not nearly as quick as he once was IMO).

I like that XI for the most part. My worry is inverting our fullbacks and giving their wingers(Sterling and potentially Jackson these days) that's full of pace, too much space and time when we turn it over. I'd have liked Pep to stick a midfielder full-time next to Rodri to help him defensively...
