Talking air defence I read this the other week about the company who makes the Starstreaks are ramping up production. have hired 150 more staff and 100 more planned this year Currently they have doubled production ( combined anti air and anti tank ) and plan to double that again...

To be honest there is nothing the west has given ( planes aside ) that has any chance of hitting Moscow so its a pretty hollow point saying they cant hit Moscow. Feels like just an "on paper" point. ATACMS would only get about half way from the border to Moscow.

Im hoping they give the AIM-120D's. 86–97 mile range on those. certainly while the planes are getting up to speed they would make things far less risky for the planes/pilots. The gliding bombs are launched from about 25/35 miles so these would give a lot of cover for the front lines.

They won’t need to fly over Russia. Just get high enough within Ukraine to launch weapons into Russia.

A mate got it last year. Said it had been decent at the start but he did start to have issues a few months in. I’ve not heard him say anything since which makes me think the issues were temporary.
