where did you see that? from what I've seen there's been nothing announcement wise about how long it would take to recharge the capacitors. I saw one suggesting maybe 10 mins but it was an opinion piece.

I think any individual nation can do what they want. But it could make any article 5 calls interesting if Russia attacks them.

I think both can be done. And I think the moon is key to long term fusion power which is key to fixing the planet we live on.

Totally barren. Bar vast quantities of resources including helium 3 a key fuel for fusion reactions and is rare as rocking horse shit on earth. So, key to the future of humanity going forward if we ever want clean plentiful power. I don’t personally think there is a coincidence in timing here.

Not really expensive per se. Every time a rocket in the history of rockets this has been the same. Only real exception is SpaceX. Even a full loss is probably far cheaper than a space shuttle launch. I think they mentioned all the engines were 2nd+ use but they may have been talking about...
