Even without the US nato is enough to take on Russia in a conventional war. At this point Poland alone would walk all over them. If the Us can block the use of there hardware by NATO states it’s very different.

They certainly do have the capabilities now they have the F16’s, They have High accuracy gliding bombs with 1000lb payload and can glide 118km. The question is are they willing to risk the planes on what will be a risky move. May wait till they have more planes so risk is lessened.
