    The Title Race - 2023/24

A plot showing points per game, for a rolling 5 game mean - meant to show patches of form (or lack of). Clearly Liverpool, up until now, have not suffered a bad patch (as bad as ours) but neither have they hit the heights of 3 points per game over long periods like City and Arsenal, they appear...

    The Title Race - 2023/24

yeah , my natural pessimism translates that as "more confident" :D i just cant shake it, i know we'll be in the box seat for sure if we're top by Brighton!!

    The Title Race - 2023/24

a fabulous weekend in the title hunt, one i absolutely did not expect!! if, by the Brighton game, we're some how still top then i'll start to get confident, but for now i am assuming more twists and turns and surely they'll both pick up 3+ points in their next 2 games? but, there are plenty of...

    Last Film You Saw

Civil War - 6/10 Tries to be complex but fails. Great imagery and obviously playing on American tension, but essentially a very repetitive and quite boring film.

yep, they'll use the channels for sure, did a lot the other night too

    The Title Race - 2023/24

i think we've put Madrid in a conundrum. We drew at theirs last season, they came to us to play and got battered. They really went for the win at theirs the other night....we led twice and again came away with a draw. They're scarred from the 4-0 mess (their perspective) of last season but...

and that was from pre international break, missing the last 4 games in which Foden & Rodri have played a bit and Walker hasnt featured.

ooof crikey, players who state themselves that they need a rest, generally do. Perhaps Luton at home, but "something we are planning" might hint that they will see how the league campaign is going, and the rest might come around the semis of the CL if we get there? slightly cryptic quote

    Atmosphere - 2023/24

Without wanting to get too deep/philosophical, i think the fans are collectively suffering the same effect that great squads have when they have a very successful season; the 'after the lord mayor's show' effect. To maintain passion, energy etc. is hard anyway, nevermind after such successes...

    Jude Bellingham

i think he's a young promising player, who's gotten a bit caught up in a his large career leap. No more, no less. I am not sure i've really said anything to suggest i think he's amazing, or otherwise. I am surprised he has his own thread, I am surprised people let themselves get so wound up. I...

Ref Watch City Games - 2023/24

yes the switch around from Premier League to European games, in terms of play on and flow, has been stark this last season or two. Traditionally european games were littered with easily won free kicks and so on.

Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

A great result in fairness, happy with a draw and really happy to see some banging goals. Losing a lead is never fun, but coming from behind at the Bernabeu is pretty big. Trust me that Madrid will be fairly gutted they couldn't take a lead to Manchester . Actually a mixed performance from our...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Bit of an average game from Phil, and I don't think it's a surprise that his performance over the 90 directly reflects that's of the team, he is beginning to drive the team now.

    16 | Rodri - 2023/24

Few wobbly moments at Palace and in Madrid, uncharacteristic sloppiness. If we can rest him against Luton, we should.

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2023/24

i think this is overly harsh. 7 starts, played in 22 games, got a goal in the league and CL, an assist or two (admittedly not many minutes over 11 league apps). Seems to be a good 1st season for a young player. I dont think he would have featured that much if Nunes had hit the ground running and...
