Real Madrid Boycott Ballon D'Or 2024 Because One of Their Players Didn't Win IT!

because I am a sucker for trying to understand certain seemingly rash actions, here are some viewpoints from popular Real Madrid social networks and boards; And i should balance the above by stating that plenty of Madrid fans seem a bit concerned at their clubs actions and the way football...

    16 | Rodri 2024/25

it is. He beat some early 90s Milan players by one or two games (74 in the end, was it?) and then lost the FA Cup final sadly.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

well said, you can't dismiss the reality but the ham-fisted response is poor to see.

    Reading Challenge 2024

Irvine Welsh - Ecstasy. One of Welsh's earlier releases (1996), this collection of 3 short stories looks sideways at the drug/club culture of the early 90s. Welsh never shies away from gory details, and in this book sometimes he pushes those boundaries to really dark places. This is especially...

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

Vinicius Jr is a fine footballer and worthy of the ballon d'or. Sadly for him Rodri is better.

    Atmosphere 2024/25

i'm never too sure what to make of this argument, how noise generation and passion is somehow linked to your 'class' (a term i bloody hate, but anyways....) I understand the gentrification of football might create transient visitors (especially foreign holiday trippers or rich experience...

    Spurs (A) - Wed 30th Oct, 20:15 | EFL Cup | Pre-Match Thread

I can't help but agree that the team will be weaker. For last season's exit at Newcastle, we didn't exactly go weak, but we pulled a few out (plus de Bruyne was injured). First XI and subs: XI: Ortega, Ake, Gomez, Gvardiol, Akanji, Lewis, Phillips, Kovacic, Grealish, Bobb, Alvarez subs: Nunes...

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2024/25

he's doing well, growing into the season. His late game fatigue is simply a reflection of his lack of consistent 1st team football. I'm very happy for him, and the team, that his form is improving. He has the most assists in all comps, joint with Rico (4), with far less minutes than a lot of...

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

There are barely any bookies offering odds but Vinicius Jr is odds on fav, with Rodri quite a distant second fav with nobody else near.

    Southampton (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Hanging on for dear life? Seems a bit hyperbolic. We weren't great at attacking them though. We got the win, as you say. I thought we were ok, just a few better finishes away from a standard 3-0.

    26 | Savinho - 2024/25

He put two on a plate for Haaland, who should have scored both, I think Savinho did his job very well today.

    Southampton (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

I think it was routine, just poor finishing from Erling kept the score down (finished his hardest chance!). Some ok performances, Savinho continues to be bright, but I really think that was a routine 3-0 if Haaland puts a couple of easy ones away.

    Southampton (H) - Sat 26th Oct, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Nunes will start today. Bless the lad, he might even get pushed wide right. Does McAtee get a look in..... definitely from the bench. He'll feature today.
