Premier League Games 7/8/9 December 2024

All the ferries from Ireland have been cancelled and the Liverpool-Manchester railway line is out of service due to a fallen tree on the line between Lpool and Warrington.

Hopefully Palace v City goes ahead, we get a win and then when the last ever Goodison derby goes ahead Liverpool will be under even more pressure.

    Seat Counters - 2024/25

It’s absolutely mental that decision from the club. I know lads who were excited at getting the chance to come back to getting a season ticket if they could afford it in the new stand, expecting it was going to be priced competitively like SSL3 was.

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 7th Dec, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Im shitting it more about him getting injured again than I am a City defeat. We need to be careful with him, some big games coming up: Juve United Villa, where we’d need him to start all three.

    Crystal Palace (A) - Sat 7th Dec, 15:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Does everyone think De Bruyne is ready and fit enough for another start immediately after his first since his injury, just three days later? He looked done in when he came off the other night.

My Grandad once told my Dad that Frank Swift dived for a penalty but the player put it down the middle yet Swift saved it by scissor kicking it out of the middle of the goal.

    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

Refs usually wait until a keeper releases the ball and the ball is in the air due to it not being in either team’s possession. For all the referee knew at the moment he blew the final whistle, even if he’d waited five more seconds, he might have thought Alexander-Arnold was going to get there...

    Micah Richards the pundit

Recently, he’s started calling Arsenal ‘we’ and anytime he refers to City, ’Man City’.

North Stand expansion - seating, ticketing etc

Quite right. The combined capacities of the Etihad and Co-Op Live will be 85,500 from next year. Yet there is one Metrolink stop servicing one line (<Town:Ashton>), a handful of buses and banned parking within a certain radius of the stadium with no Park+Ride alternative options out in place...

    Priced out?

Yep, doesn’t matter who anyone supports when it comes to this. Fans have to take a stand and do it together as one before it’s too late. English football is going to implode soon. It’ll be like Serie A from the late 90s and 00s where ticket prices went through the roof and fans just stopped...

    Stand against prices

You said you’ve been priced out and may need to move next season in your first post. but in your next say that you can afford it. Have I missed the gist of that or something?

    Pep Guardiola - 2024/25

I used to work with a lad from Ellesmere Port who had a Scouse-ish accent but was a season ticket holder at United. Also went to uni with a lad from Penketh in Warrington who has a Scouse twang and was a United fan.

    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

I’d keep De Bruyne until he retires here. There’s no way we should be selling him. Even if he only plays half a season from now on, he’ll still contribute more than anyone does playing all season. He’s the best we’ve got by a mile still. We still need to sign his replacement this coming...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

Depends whether the back four is Ederson at left back, SimpsonPusey and Walker at centre back and Lewis at right back through the Winter though. The way they’re dropping like flies week-after-week at the back is going to stop us being as good as we could be.

Top quality! Up there with Liverpool at home from the treble season that performance last night. ‘Super, super Jack…

Premier League (midweek) Games 3/4/5 December 2024

After beating City, Spurs drew with Fulham and lost to Bournemouth. After beating City, Liverpool drew with Newcastle and they play Everton in the last ever Goodison derby next… remember the last ever Maine Road derby?!

Premier League (midweek) Games 3/4/5 December 2024

Bournemouth have been absolute quality this second half. All over Spurs! They’ve also beaten City and Arsenal this season. I really rate their coach.

    Homophobia in football

No, it really isn’t at all. I don’t wear a City shirt (or coat, hat, scarf or anything with the club badge on) when I go to City games as a City supporter.
