Petition to remove a ridiculous Parliamentary rule

Of all the things to get your knickers in a twist about.

    The Farmers Protests in London

I think the main difference is JSO didn’t inform dibble about their protests or cooperate whereas causes like Gaza, farmers, counter protest to the immigration riots, etc did.

That’s very interesting. The RCN have been trying to get a different pay spine for nurses on AfC but unison don’t agree with it, any nursing spine should include HCA’s IMHO but there does need to be a starker gap between qualified and unqualified pay rates. Some HCAs are APs and they should be...

Exactly this mate. There was an understanding in the NHS that most were underpaid, the collective if you like, but as soon as the JDs were given 22% there was outrage from nurses and that unspoken collective was broken. If Reeves, Streeting or Starmer underestimate the outrage with nurses...

Nurses “rejected” the 5.5% this year as being enough so yes it’s bad. The RCN have described this £2 a day increase as deeply offensive. JDs said they’d strike again if the pay for next year didn’t meet their expectations. The nurses will walk out 100% next year if this is what they are...

99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

Surely they must or at least be able to make a decent educated guess? If I buy a beer they want my ST for the discount. I’ve not been in the club shop for years but we get a discount don’t we? . Anyone buying at club shop is at game. If they post it out they can surely link it to anyone...

99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

Games becomes too sterile pal. What do any of us go for? Have a laugh/drink with your mates, dig out the opposition fans or a player with a witty song or three, cheers on the blues. It’s not for the game, I can watch that on TV in the warm. Out of the 3 main reasons I go, only really one...

99% of our fans are outside Manchester apparently

Not when those attend their first game / first game in a while and spend a fortune in the club shop on tat. It’s the regulars / semi regulars who don’t really add to the coffers.

Oh good a list. Labour fans love a list for some bizarre reason. Let’s see…Ban on ninja swords? They haven’t agreed the definition of a ninja sword yet - they’ve setup a consultation. Once they’ve done that they’ll get round to voting on banning them. This was kicked off before Labour got...

    Priced out?

Spot on pal. They pander to the half and half / social media types who video themselves and parts of the game - wouldn’t have lasted 5 minutes in the Kippax before getting a bottle of flat lucozade over them. You get why the club do it, they’ll spend more on tat in the club shop in one game...

Ah yes just seen this, my thoughts as per my post above. Particularly in things like nursing and teaching type roles where you still work for the same employer

I thought a bit more about this and my thoughts are if a nurse leaves one role and joins another role at a different trust that would be seen in the stats so I’m not entirely sure how useful a metric it is or isn’t and it’s too late in the day for my brain to work on it anymore!!

Surely platforms are a standard height? Or are we simply talking millimetres? And they can be adjusted to all be the same? if that is really a thing, and I’ve no reason to doubt you as you know your stuff on railways, then I’m am stunned. Surprised? No, stunned? yes.

Cheers pal for taking the time to post that. It sounds a nightmare if I’m being honest. This short term contract was certainly part of the problem - it encouraged management to deal in cycles rather than strategically. You have to think anything the government does with the fully...
