It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

Hmm, does Sinclair have a track record for City transfer knowledge... sounds like it’s half a statement of opinion, half an ITK claim.

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

Has there ever been an example of a sponsor driving a transfer. I see it said a lot but I can’t recall one single instance of that happening.

    John Stones

If Stones is happy to be part of the squad, I’d keep him. His stock isn’t the highest at the moment and he could easily settle back in to some good form. One player we should absolutely be getting rid of is Otamendi, who is a complete liability in this setup.

I don’t think we’ll buy one. Cancelo and Mendy will take that spot. Cancelo also cover for RB and Ake cover for LB if needed. I know there’s better LB options out there, but given the existing squad I think it’s a position that you need to sell before you buy (I.e Mendy).

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

It’s possible he could be wrong about the contract.. Not sure how the new club would be liable for misinterpretation of a contract between a player and another club. It’s a separate agreement and only those parties are privy to the details of it, and ensuring it is followed as legally intended...

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

I think the Messi effect on the club would be huge, not just his impact on the pitch as one of the best players on the planet, but off the pitch he takes the club to an entirely new level. Commercially, yes, but just imagine the impact it’ll have on the perception of the club by other players we...

It's Quiet thread 14 - 'do one' edition

Feels a daft way to think about it, I never understand it - why do you think this, because he’s left footed? He’s pretty sound on both.. nevertheless Pep likes to rotate and play people all over the shop. Ake will get his chance alongside Laporte and if he grabs it, they could easily become an...

Lyon CL QF | Pre-Match Thread

So not far off 4-2-2-2. A very narrow team. He obviously thinks that we’ll see lots of joy down the middle. I don’t mind the team too much, aslong as he changes it quickly if it’s not working.

    Jadon Sancho

They’re improving, steadily. Bruno Fernandes and this chap make for a much scarier prospect than they were 2-3 years ago. I think we have to accept sometimes they’ll sign top players and Sancho appears to be in that catagory - if he was heading our way the place would be singing his praises!

    Harry Kane

    Oh no never!.. (Aguero goals)

    Ben Chilwell

But if the option is left back or bench then you suspect he’d prefer to play football.

    Nathan Ake

I can see him being our first choice LB.

CAS judgement: UEFA ban overturned, City exonerated (report out p603)

I’ve finished reading it all, most of it last night. Pretty interesting. It gives me more appreciation as to why I think City had a case to answer for, it’s the first time I’ve properly read the leaked emails as they were presented. They do have an element of suggestion in them if read without...

    Ferran Torres

Is he really Fodens ability? He’s got progressively better as we’ve got closer to signing him! (Disclaimer: He might well be as good as Foden, I’ve never seen him..)

Lionel Messi | Joins Inter Miami (pg4111)

Pep doesn’t want him to leave Barca, has said it repeatedly. There’s no benefit to Pep for bringing Messi to City. Tarnish his relationship with Barca fans and If he doesn’t win everything at City with Messi he’ll be a failure, getting absolutely no credit for doing so. There’s too many parts to...
