Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Speaking for myself, I don't. I know that they have been compiling fan's experiences themselves, but the lack of public backing is extremely disappointing - particularly when this seems to be a pretty much cut and dry issue. One of my recommendations covers this exact point.

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Thanks for tagging me - I have meant to come on and post an update. It has been a chaotic few weeks. I finished the initial draft of the report two weeks ago yesterday - it runs to around 40 pages. I tidied that up by the time I went on holiday to Bavaria for a wedding on the Thursday (only...

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

I’d have to echo Dan’s comment. I have received just shy of 59 emails from supporters, as well as quite a number of tweets and Bluemoon messages. Of course, we are also using the information on this thread, and the articles by the likes of Gary James, City Xtra and so on. A lot of the...

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Thanks - I wondered why I’d received so many more replies! The more I get, the stronger my argument is to the club. Another edit: I will be looking through this entire thread too for information where relevant.

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Sorry if posted elsewhere, but I have heard a number of comments about Danny Wilson doing an interview in which he stated that the final had largely gone well. Does anyone have a link to this?

    Community Shield - Arsenal (N) | Sun 6th Aug - 16:00

Personally, I can’t attend either way (so I appreciate it may make what I am about to say a bit hollow). That said, I am in contact with the 1894 guys and totally support a boycott.

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

As you might have seen, I am trying to pull together something comprehensive to take the club/wherever is appropriate. Really appreciate everyone that has sent through their experiences so far. In regard to your second question, the club did have representatives out in Istanbul before the...

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Thanks. I was just about to share on here. If anyone on here doesn’t have Twitter or doesn’t want to email, feel free to send me a private message or reply to this. I’ll also be going back over this thread to save people replying twice.

Istanbul CL Final chaos | City Matters statement (p 133)

Just about to take off back to Manchester. We resorted to a £100 cab ride back to our hotel. Already in the process of raising it with the club, although I’m almost certain that they’re already aware. Not overly confident we can achieve anything with UEFA but we’ll see what we can do.

Champions League Final | Useful Information

Sorry for the delay, just in the airport myself. David Gill is sat nearby. My query to the club was about access to the stadium. I’d rather take my driving license too, but it’s quite the risk to not take it and be turned away at the gate.

Champions League Final | Useful Information

The club have been advised by the British Consulate in Istanbul that passport will be required as ID. The club have raised this as a risk and the consulate will have extra staff on standby should someone lose their passport. A replacement would cost £100 and take three days to process.

Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

Before tickets went on sale this morning, there were approximately 1,100 tickets left to sell. As others have pointed out, they were practically all Category 2. The club have structured the criteria based on the rates of purchase to qualifying supporters for the windows to date, and also that...

Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

I think that 1894 had asked Fans Europe if City fans would be able to travel on the buses from Taksim Square. @Manchester33 will probably know more. That said, even if we are unable to use the buses from Taksim, I believe that it is a ten minute metro journey to Yenikapi and travel is free...

Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

Season ticket holders not on the cup scheme criteria should be going up imminently. I believe that there will be three brackets; starting quite low down the points ladder. It’s hard to tell if the criteria is fair as we’re not aware of the breakdown of who applied for an access code and what...

Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

If you get a ticket, will you get a code or will someone (I assume the branch secretary) be purchasing on your behalf? If it’s the latter, then they’ll have to claim it. I haven’t worked out if they can transfer the pass yet. Rather unhelpfully, the pass is on a different app to match tickets...

Champions League Final | Ticket Criteria | SOLD OUT

Morning pal. I’ve asked the club if they know more concrete details and I’ll get back to you. Something to note. You are actually entitled to free public transport with a match ticket in and around the day of the game: All metro and tram services in the Istanbul Metropolitan Region from 4am...

That’s right. We were a bit nervous when we saw the flight time had been changed, but thankfully not much of a difference!

    City Matters thread

Sorry missed this pal. I’ve actually asked on two occasions going back to when the tickets went on sale - still waiting for an answer. Now, perhaps understandably, the club are a bit preoccupied with the FA Cup Final and Istanbul, but I’m not dropping this one. I’ve also asked for the...
