Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Better for any collapse to occur now rather than at the end of the season. Probably the best way to look at things.

I can’t tell if the team is too young or too old.

As soon as TNT rolled out Gallagher, I knew what was coming.

Premier League Games 2/3/4 Nov 2024

Without Peps influence that’s the sort of football we’d be seeing. Speed demons everywhere tripping over themselves. It’s what we used to see.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

Not sure he has much of a choice. Historically, Madrid have always been a team built on individuals and superstar power. Can’t imagine it’s easy managing the personalities that come with the job.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

Real Madrid not showing up just about sums them up. Had a stranglehold on it for years and smacks of entitlement.

The first one there defo looked offside.

Am I missing something? It’s just a normal save. What on earth is Neville on about? Keepers can’t avoid every collision.

    Thomas Tuchel | England Manager

Pretty much. Though I think many hoped it would be him so they can kneecap us, not help Englands chances.

    Thomas Tuchel | England Manager

I’m surprised at the reaction to appointing a manager from outside England, especially as much of the rancour is coming from ex-players and journalists. Presumably Carragher, Neville, Wallace etc. only wanted Eddie Howe then. Or stayed with Southgate.

    Thomas Tuchel | England Manager

Are we really expecting him to make it to the world cup? He seems to fall out with a lot of clubs.

CITY V FC Barcelona, Wednesday 9th Oct 2024, 8PM. Home leg. UWCL

Not been able to watch this but if the result goes our way, might be one of the most significant wins for the women’s side. Wasn’t expecting to win this one.

They were going to get rid of the manager after the FA Cup but the fans were so outraged by it they reversed the decision. Fans are generally clueless and think short term and now they're paying for it. Of course the bulk of them will blame the Glazers again.

    Media discussion - 2024/25

Pretty weak actually. Thought the Mail was much more impressive this evening. “It was unfortunate, in the week that bombs have struck Lebanon and killed innocents, that City’s manager should have described what is coming between the two clubs as ‘war’ on Friday.”...

Given how popular that limited edition PS5 Pro is, you'd think Sony would just make it the default design. Looks so much better but there's no way i'm prepared to stump up nearly £1000 for it.

Are Arsenal actually placing bounties on opposing players?

Not sure about specifically targeting players but there's ample evidence of gamesmanship during their corners. It will be stamped out eventually as more attention is drawn to them blocking keepers from getting to their back post. Eventually the refs will stop it.

Small point but surely Lewis starts over Walker going forward?

Arsenal are very much this country’s Atletico Madrid now. Decent outfit but the stuff they engage in will end up hampering their chances most of the time. As for us, we were just naff after 20 minutes.

Wouldn’t think they’re a man down. They look pretty solid and more convincing.
