    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

Completely agree the lack of width in that line up today was a huge problem

    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

In terms of now? That wasn’t the player he always promised to be when you watched him come through the ranks. The biggest thing he’s lost is his burst of pace. Just doesn’t get away from people after a brilliant turn like he used to

    Maybe change it to were;)

    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

As much as a lot of us expected due to his ridiculous natural talent was my main point. Was hardly slagging him off or saying he’s shite.

    17 | Kevin De Bruyne - 2024/25

Agree he’s past his best physically but actually think he could still be very good a bit deeper. He’s lost that burst to play higher up in terms of going past people. Still far from a cart horse though. He’d look electric against our midfield 3! His range of passing and physicality could help us...

    What you on about?

    Pep Guardiola

Levels of it though mate aren’t there. KDB, Gundo and Bernie could all press well a few years ago. Pep wouldn’t have Yaya because he was unfit and couldn’t run anymore but he’d have still probably blitzed our current lot. Not much he can do about it though with Rodders done and even Kovacic out...

Time to stand up and be counted…..

True but you talk about this City team isn’t patch on that one either.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

True. Foden doesn’t dictate many games. He was brilliant last season scoring worldies but he’s not kicked on in his career overall as we all thought he would. Especially when it comes to dictating games.

    2 | Kyle Walker - 2024/25

Correct. He’s a fucking bellend who is well past it but he wasn’t to blame for tonight’s debacle

    26 | Savinho - 2024/25

Definitely a very good player in there. 20 year old kid in a new league. He’s far from the problem. Playing so much because of injuries and lack of recruitment

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2024/25

No and it wasn’t on Stones either. Gundo pointed to Maddison after he’d just ran at a fairly mundane pace past him. Stones was in a good position and had no time to react. Worrying when someone as one paced as Maddison can run off our midfield so easily. Brilliant ball as well to be fair

    47 | Phil Foden - 2024/25

Maddison is a very good footballer but at 28 still struggles to hold down a regular spot in a very average Spurs side. Hardly what we should be aspiring to as the heir the KDB throne.

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I’d say he improved Silva by playing him as an 8. That turned him into the complete player and meant we could get an extra attacking player into the side. I think it brought another dimension to David’s game.
  17. C

    82 | Rico Lewis - 2024/25

That will probably be his best position. However do you see him becoming good enough there for a team pushing to win a title most years? I know the bar has been set high with Silva, KDB and Gundo. That’s what we should be aiming for though and us allowing that level of recruitment to drop...

Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Yeah, the top sides haven’t really improved but the mid table teams have definitely improved

Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

All good points. I think another problem that to be fair is hardly something that just affects us is that the rest of the league has improved a lot. We have definitely regressed as have Arsenal. The mid table cubs are all excellent on the counter with loads of pace and can really take advantage...
