44 Years Ago… Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond

Agree, a fabulous goal, much better than Villa's fluke ! Did anybody else sell their ticket for Springsteen at the Apollo that night of the replay, or was it just me !? Queued up all night outside the Apollo on the Saturday night, Sunday morning for a ticket when they went on sale a couple of...

    TOTP BBC4 80s

I didn't like the 88 one but thought the 76 one had a few crackers, with Heatwave, Sherbet and Wild Cherry, plus of course Sue from Legs and Co who is always worth it. It was worth watching to see Diddy David Hamilton's jacket alone, what on earth was that !?

BBC - ultimate British group poll (National Album Day)

Looking at the " criteria" they are also basing it on sales, plus their list of presenters with very questionable music knowledge.

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 Champion Is Hilts!

Some excellent comments, gents, I would just take issue that Gaucho is a "not so great album". If that was recorded by anyone else, they would be proud of it. If the late, great Christine McVie had it as her all time favourite album and Joni Mitchell also cites it in her top 5, that's good...

The Bluemoon Song Cup 2024 Champion Is Hilts!

Can't agree with that, but it's all about opinions of course ! Their lyrics were probably more subversive than any punk band and there is plenty of soul in the vocals, e.g. Deacon Blues, Third World Man for example. They are adored by many black soul funk and rap artists and were sampled by many...
