That makes at least 2 of us then !

You forgot to put Bert in there. I would absolutely include him in your list.

    Red Cafe in meltdown

The year after that they reached the final, only to be taken to the cleaners by Pep's Barca team. Hence the logo changed to Ain't Iniesta Great.

Favourite non-City goals of all time

I went to Burnden Park with a Bolton supporting mate for an FA Cup tie v Newcastle in early 1976. Toon throw-in on the right to Mcdonald with his back to goal about 30 yards out. Supermac let it bounce once, swivelled and hit it on the volley. It hit the Bolton net like a bullet. An absolute belter.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

Yep. Form is temporary but class is permanent. Madrid and Vinicius in particular would do well to remember that.

Don't forget the Kiwis. NZ beat the Ineos GB crew in the Americas Cup last week.

    Ten Hag sacked! (P 416)

It's a yea from me. For many of my generation he's always been referred to as that. Plus it fits the "falling down" song :-)

    Ten Hag sacked! (P 416)

I predicted he wouldn't make Halloween so whilst I'm gutted that the campaign has come to a sad end I'm feeling quite smug about my clairvoyant skills.

Thus lot are worse than the 1974 team ! At least they had some fight in them :-)

    The Co-op Live Arena

Yeah, we agree on that one. I have lots of bootlegs of the Darkness tour in 1978 and IMHO that was the best. Unfortunately big rock gigs nowadays are a bit too slick for my liking.

    The Co-op Live Arena

Don't agree. I've seen all the Springsteen UK tours from 1981 onwards. The 1985 Born in the USA shows were a bit rough around the edges (and I saw 5 of them). Tunnel of Love Tour in 1988 was superior, and still the best IMHO. Saw 6 of them. Its all about opinions though. :-)

    The Stones Goal

You're not alone. That's what I thought too. My thought was that Atwell was a bent bastard for sending Kavanagh to the monitor.

    Ten Hag sacked! (P 416)

That's more like it, Poundland. Narrow home win against Brentford and you've got a team of worldbeaters again. Scruffy draw next week, maybe. That's the way forward.

Somebody needs to tell this joker that there's a serious campaign going on over here.

44 Years Ago… Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond

Correct. Reid was still at City long after Bond had gone.

44 Years Ago… Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond

You could be right, but none of us know what really went on behind the scenes. Personally I was a big Nicky Reid fan and was really sorry when he eventually left. Maybe he didnt like Bond's style of management and that came across on the training pitch. It happens. Only Nicky and JB would have...

44 Years Ago… Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond, Johnny Bond

It's true that his last season went downhill big time, and he's not remembered in a good light largely because of that. On the other side of the coin John Bond was a guest at our SC Branch in Manchester at the time when he had dropped Nicky Reid in favour of Kevin Bond. From the floor I asked...
