Champions League Draw | QF - Bayern Munich | SF - Real Madrid

Well said, that's the spirit. 100% agree.

If we get to either final are you going ?

I went to that game too. Along with my mate BillT from on here. We're still travelling to City matches together, in fact :-)

If we get to either final are you going ?

Your right, I reckon. Each CL game there are only a handful of us regulars in our block. The remainder are mainly tourists with hardly an English accent to be heard. The guy sat next to me on Tues joined in with the "Follow" song by singing "Hello" instead - but that was the only word he knew so...

    Liverpool Thread - 2022/23

Owen is either deluded or thick. Or both. Basically he was trying to tell us the opposite of what has been staring everyone in the face all season. Is, and always has been, the worst pundit on telly IMHO.

    Burnley (H) - FA Cup - Sat 18th March, 17:45 | Pre-Match Thread

They'll make a lot of noise for sure. Imagine the extra racket that applause from six finger hands can make. :-)

    Old Maine Road photos thread

Yeah, in those days it was par for the course that the terraces would be icy during the winter months. An extra pair of socks was necessary from November to February. Wasn't a problem for us, but you try and tell the young people of today that and they won't believe you. :-)

Fortunately he hasn't departed the shithole. That's part of the problem :-)

    Manuel Pellegrini

Fair points, apart from just one - getting Tevez back was IMHO the catalyst for us winning the PL that season. Hardly catastrophic.

    Manuel Pellegrini

Everton away at the back end of 2013-14 was a great game. Classic end to end by both teams. What a dilemma for the Blue Dipper fans - last home game so wanted to win, but to do so would let the red dippers in on the title. I remember their fans congratulating us in advance as we were leaving...

Hands up if you've played on the Etihad hallowed turf

According to Garry Cook, Kaka was on the verge of playing on the Etihad hallowed turf but the deal fell through at the last second :-)

Inspiration my arse. His attitude on Sunday was just the same in the Etihad derby in October. Once the going gets really tough he throws in the towel. Absolutely not what you want from the captain. I couldn't imagine Pep defending that sort of behaviour from anyone.

    Stephen Howson / Michael Knighton

A old friend of mine up here, sadly deceased now, once told me a story about Knighton when he owned Carlisle United. My mate was at the time in charge of the local corporate division of a leading bank and MK had an appointment to see him about raising investment for the football club. The...

    7 | Joao Cancelo - 2022/23 Performances

He's no doubt burned his bridges with a lot of City fans. I can't see him being welcomed back with open arms so he'd probably be better moving on permanently. We football fans can be highly protective about our Club. Once you've gone, you've gone. Unfortunately, as you suggest, it would seem...

Premier League Games 4/5/6 March '23

According to MOTD2 tonight the rags are the dippers' BIGGEST rivals. Whatever happened to the team that has been neck & neck with the dippers for the title for most of the last 7 years ? It's unbelievable the spin they like to put on those 2 clubs. When the day finally arrives that City drop off...

Par for the course mate. Grimsby had about 4,000 at Southampton on Weds night but I believe that less than 500 travelled to Carlisle yesterday for a league game.

Premier League Games 4/5/6 March '23

FFS in my living memory we've put 6 past them twice (both should have been 10), 5 past them, and 4 past them a few times. What's the problem ? Dippers hammering them just this once will do for me.

Premier League Games 4/5/6 March '23

As much as I detest the dippers I have to say that their humiliation of the rags gave me great satisfaction. The only downside is listening to dippers on 606. Never mind, not a bad weekend all round. Poundland Pep best manager in the world my arse.

    Newcastle (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

Yeah, the new Richard Edgehill for some it seems. Personally I also think Akanji's done OK and a bargain at the price. Those who think he's slow should remember how Nunez skinned Laporte in the dippers LC game. Made Eric look like he was running in treacle. Still prefer Stones & Dias but Akanji...
