Arsenal PL (H) | Man of the Match

That was the really sad aspect about this game. I hope he still has at least one more grade A season left in him but yesterday he would have had more of an impact sat in the North Stand. The game in general like others this season had the feel of an end of an era about it.

    Arsenal (H) - Sun 31st Mar, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

It is why we now rival them as a leading world power and why the advantages they have of playing poor sides most weeks in terms of rest is counterbalanced by our battle hardened nature gained from tough games week in week out. If they don't get a good result in Madrid they will be shitting...

Premier League Games 30/31 March '24

Palmer wanted out did he not? Pep wouldn't give him a guarantee of more game time it seems. Nunes to me seems like a replacement for him and hasn't really featured. All things being equal I would rather have a happy Palmer who would slowly emerge as a regular starter. But the lad seemed to back...

Premier League Games 30/31 March '24

There is always a bad performance or two and Wolves falls into this category. The Palace game was one of the worse throwaways in recent memory. Should we lose the league by a point we really can't complain after the shit show that day.

Fully agree with that.Everybody needs to sing their arses off.

Iets hope he gets the chance to ruin the rags latest recovery next season.

    Arsenal (H) - Sun 31st Mar, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

The only problem is that apart from Rodders there are question marks over the rest of it on current form and fitness. This will be one of the hardest games of the season and I am hoping we find that little bit of magic to seal the victory over the bottlers.

I wonder if he will have the brass neck to turn up on Sunday?

    Arsenal (H) - Sun 31st Mar, 16:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Southgate will be expecting John to play a lot of games during June/July and his priority is England not City. I am sure he does not set out intentionally to get him injured but he is not really concerned about our interests but concentrates on his own. It is far from ideal from our perspective...

John could have done that warming up.He is injury prone and well we know it. A bit pointless blaming Southgate.

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

I thought Bilbao were playing the Cup Final on the 6th?

Break came at right time then now you could argue it will have a negative impact and act as a momentum breaker. Importantly most of them will be away from base which i assume was not the case in the post Christmas period. On balance I am inclined to think that the timing of this fixture very...

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

I don't think Arsenal will win it based on their rather poor performance and somewhat fortunate win against Porto. Infact I think they will struggle against most of the teams left. I think people underestimate Atletico, Barcelona, PSG and Munich all of which can reach the final.

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

The obvious one is the only tie I would feel confident about. I am a long time on record as saying a good defence is what helps you win this competition. We showed that clearly last year when previously conceding too many soft goals had us heading for the exit. So far this season we have not...

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

Palmer knows the way to goal and is more versatile than Doku. I will give Doku another season but to date for me he weakens the side and rather flatters to deceive. I suppose he was a bit unlucky with that effort which came back of the post but he needs to get more end product into his game.

    The Title Race - 2023/24

Think I would not be adverse to drawing Arsenal. The fact they are deeply involved in the title race would assist us. It might however impact the weekend league games for both sides which could benefit the dippers. Anyway not certain they will be in the draw at all yet.

Premier League Games 9/10/11/13 March '24

They are sixth because they are the sixth best in what despite all the propaganda is a poor enough league. They are a moderate team which is built to actively grind out results in the hope they can sneak into the CL places. They are where they are because as was the case today they mostly face...

Champions League - QF: Real Madrid, SF: Arsenal/Bayern, (H) for 2nd legs

Not sure it matters too much as apart from Dortmund/PSV all the ties look equally difficult. However. It is probably best to avoid three games against Arsenal in such a short space of time.

    Liverpool (A) - Sun 10th Mar, 15:45 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

I feel the same way but still unsure if we can pull it off, for all the reasons documented here. I have a hunch because a draw is not enough for us in points terms that we will really have a go and grab a win.
