    Jamal Musiala

Not sure he's all that great, we've enough headless dribblers as it is. Need to get back to signing midfielders with passing as their #1 attribute.

Inter (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Created enough chances considering their ref assisted bunker. What's worrying is the reactions of the midfield/forwards when we give the ball away, only Grealish recovers with any intensity. Need to keep it tighter against Arsenal.

    Fouling Haaland

If he was a player for the red clubs he'd have at least 5 and probably closer to 10 penalties awarded in the two seasons for the grappling on him, none at all is a total piss-take. Meanwhile we've had 3 goals disallowed for players getting into a tangle with Haarland. Was reading an article in...

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2024/25

Break out of a jog at any point and he prevents the goal, can't afford to be going behind like that against better/more solid teams. That was the most attacking runs off the ball I've seen him make, though the difference in decision making to the player on the other flank was glaring.

Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

A decent player but if it takes away the option of him playing in midfield fine seeing him go. Pep is stubborn about some things that eventually come good but I can't ever see that with the midfield experiment. Alvarez's big weakness is being secure in possession receiving with his back to goal...

    England v Slovakia - Sun 30th June, 17:00 | Euro 2024 Round of 16

Kane having a great all round game the biggest myth in football

    Rico Lewis and Oscar bobb

The problem is they're both tiny and we already have a tiny lad in Foden that people want playing in the middle. Away at Villa is a glimpse of what happens when you have too many on the pitch at once. Don't rate Doku in the slightest so I'd give his game time to Blobb.

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Truth is Foden is an odd fit even for us. People say he's playing out of position but where he played for England was similar to 97% of his appearances for us. The only way he works for Southgate is to play him false 9, which would never happen but I think would give England a better chance...

    Austria v France - Mon 17th June, 20:00 | Euro 2024 Group D

How did France become the Madrid/Liverpool of internationals, a decision won't go against them

    Serbia v England - Sun 16th June, 20:00 | Euro 2024 Group C

Reminded me a bit of our game at Villa Park, Southgate is a mediocre manager but what can you do when you don't have players with central midfield attributes. Rice- Glorified centre back, not the first clue how to dictate play Arnold- Wasteful full back Foden- Lightweight forward/winger, doesn't...

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Obviously it's an ugly way to set up but it works. We've played Madrid 8 times under Pep and I'd argue looked the better football side each time, mostly didn't end with us progressing though. There's the myth that Klopp goes "toe to toe" with us but mostly they resemble a Mourinho bunker side...

You're right I'd forgotten about Akanji.

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

I don't think we'd win the league next season either way. If we can get Pep to extend then obviously keep him, my point is I don't think 1 more year is enough time to regenerate this team to continue being dominant in the league, and if we did the follow up manager won't be as good in the league...

    Pep's contract situation | 2 year extension confirmed! (pg1817)

Haven't really seen it suggested but now might be the time to change manager. Pep is the best league manager probably ever but I can't see us doing 5 in a row. Seemed to do it mostly off muscle memory last season as we certainly weren't fantastic. Our transfers in the last couple seasons...

    47 | Phil Foden - 2023/24

Doesn't work hard enough to be playing in the middle, Amrabum can't run but didn't really have to to keep tabs on him. Ball switched numerous times to Gvardiol who was left no options as Foden didn't get on his bike to support. The distance Fernandes built between them to assist the second not...

    Bruno Guimaraes

He would mostly be a good fit but yet another midfielder who recovers back towards his own goal like a little old granny to go along with Foden, De Bruyne, Doku, Kovačić. If he's slightly out of position and the ball goes in behind him he's done for, apart from being more likely to take they...

    Mohammed Kudus

Has skill but little awareness of teammates and his work off the ball is about the same as Doku i.e non-existent. Don't know if we still want him but Parqueta would definitely be a better fit.

    Spurs (A) - Tues 14th May, 20:00 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Some things in football defy logic. Lo Celso is the new Coutinho, dusted off to score against us before going back on the shelf for a few months. Kulusevski usually plays like he's wearing lead boots underwater but we manage to make him look like prime Robben & Mahrez combined. Son wasted every...

Premier League Games 11/12/13/14/15 May '24

I think we could get a bucket load against WHam if we needed it. Ogbonna and Zouma are statues at the back, both Doku and Grealish have Coufal's number. West Ham have absolutely nothing to come off the bench either. If we're still interested in Parqueta I don't think he'll be busting a gut.

Spurs standing around in defence as much as West Ham earlier
