Tamworth looking tired but Huddersfield aren't causing them too many problems.

    The TV Quiz Show Thread

There is no skill in Deal or No Deal. It's utter guesswork shite.

Mad as a badger in a bag. But we all love her.

    Electric Car Charging

I'm aware Scalextric crash barriers wouldn't stop an out of control car, but we have the basis for an idea. Also, I'm fairly sure drivers would control their cars slightly better than me and my mates controlled our Scalextric cars. And I mean slightly better judging by standards on UK roads.

    Thomas Tuchel | England Manager

Howard Wilkinson won the League with Leeds in 1992, I don't know if he won anything else of significance. I don't think an Englishman has ever won the Prem.

    Joke thread

That's humourist. Stuff that isn't remotely funny has as much right to be in the joke thread as funny stuff, otherwise you are repressing unfunny stuff. Boooooo!!!!! And we'd be at 50 pages if we excluded unfunny stuff.

What are you watching on youtube right now?

Mainly bloody adverts. A couple of five or six second averts is tolerable, but 15 and 20 second adverts is taking the piss.

    Bye bye Jaguar

An ever so slight balls up in the process of pasting the Specsavers logo. It was only live for a minute or two.

    Bye bye Jaguar

I bought a five year old S-Type in 2010. It cost the same as a three or four year old Mondeo or Vectra. So why not? Loved the car and I've regretted not getting a used XF. Poor reliability and being easily nicked seem to be features of the LR part of the group rather than the J. Might still be...

    Electric Car Charging

The other option would be to have electrified wires embedded in the tarmac and turn the road network into a giant Scalextric set. Low voltage of course to stop the Health and Safety gang kicking off.

    Electric Car Charging

Meanwhile the Koreans are claiming 1,500 miles range and a 5 second refuel time for a hydrogen powered car. No mention of how long it would take to set up the refuelling infrastructure.

Frank Worthington for Bolton where he chipped it over his head, turned, and volleyed it in.

Best player from our doldrums years (1980 to roughly 2009)

Trevor Francis was such a great player that he managed to play two thirds of the games even though so many fans reckon he was injured 80% of the time. His debut at Stoke was a great day out.

You can run with a small squad for three, possibly four, seasons, but not when Covid and a ludicrously scheduled World Cup compress two or three of those seasons. We're trying to do it for five or six seasons.

Agreed. One of the few things Wenger got right when he was at Arsenal.

Match Thread | Spurs vs. Man City (30/10/24)

Correct. We're seeing the cumulative effect of several seasons with minimal summer breaks and a small squad, almost all of whom get dragged across the globe for bloody international games. - Plus more stupid competitions like the World Club Cup next summer.
