Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

That's a risk. I don't think 11 players all become shit in 6 months. I may be wrong but Pep is after 15 years showing signs of decay.

He had energy then and a style of play that most teams couldn't cope with. Not happening again.

Time for Pep to go. We can buy all the players we want but this style of football is finished.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

We need him now, not so much once Rodri's back, so I'd go for a different type of player. 51 games last year, 4 goals 1 assist. Guimares in the PL 101 goals 17 goals, 17 assists. But apparently he's not arriving so who knows.

    Martín Zubimendi

One other thing all the news in Spain is that Madrid are looking elsewhere and Barca, well how many midfielders do they need? City are a better fit for the lad. He can play alongside and learn from the master.

Mind you twitter is shit, no?

    Paul Pogba

Apparently his brother was sentenced today for some crime. Don't know if that has anything to do with why Pogba may be in Manchester.

Maybe clubs in next year's world club thing. No time to bed in players in the summer, so like us better to do it now.

If so, we won't be playing champions league next year.

    9 | Erling Haaland - 2024/25

I like him. Think he is a great striker. But from the off didn't think he was a Pep player. Due to his stratospheric scoring record and general superstar status he'll always get picked. But sometimes it's like playing with 10 which would be ok but due to several other non performers at the...

Ricci to Milan, Reijnders to City?

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Wouldn't want to see Bobb leave and letting a serviceable midfielder leave as in Kovacic wouldn't make much sense.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Spanish press saying that Ancelotti wanted Samuel Ricci. But Florentino wasn't so keen. And that his likely destination is City or Liverpool. They also mention that Tchouameni is not happy being played at the back.

    Players who might improve us

I always thought he was decent. Didn't he get a hatrick against the geordies? Obviously nothing like as good as Alvarez. But he'd have been a good option off the bench to reduce Erling's minutes. But that ship has sailed. However re the money they owe us, do they have any youngsters we'd be...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

As long as we're not offering Bobb. But who would we offer that they'd want and that would want to go? Maybe Nuñes if they promised him game time. McAtee likewise.

I was going to ask. Didn't he play for us?

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I think you need to look at our best buys from abroad for clues. Kompany Bundesliga Zabaleta La Liga Silva La Liga Kun La Liga Kevin Bundesliga Yaya La Liga Bernardo France Haaland Bundesliga The majority of these from the 2 other best European leagues. The odd player out is Silva as he was...

If the rot continues what happens ?

Kompany, Silva, Kun, Fernandinho, Kevin, Sterling were all there when he took over and were by no means finished. If he were to leave tomorrow only Rodri, Foden, Días and Haaland could be mentioned in the same breath. And the first group contains 5 bona fide all time City legends. Rodri already...

I actually think Savinho given a bit of time will be the more productive of the two
