Alvarez done deal - £82m to Atletico

Good luck to him. I think he’s underrated by a few commenters here. Alvarez would start ahead of most PL strikers so I can see why he’d be up for the move, especially to Spain & to Simeone. We got a great fee so can’t complain.

    Bruno Guimaraes

Yeah if they’re happy enough with a loan why not go for it? Some game time could help him kick on as Palmer did. Just as long as we don’t sell him.

Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

Pure propaganda. This time last year they were saying they had the dosh for Bernardo

    Dani Olmo

Don’t mind him as a Nunes replacement but we still need to ship off Phillips as well and properly replace Gundo.

Only cause he’d broken his ankle just before the Euros

    27 | Matheus Nunes - 2023/24

Will be interesting to see if rumours appear now that we are willing to let him go, as happened with Phillips last summer. His lack of minutes is worrying, but Pep has done this before with players that went on to be successes with us (Bernardo, Sane both had patchy minutes in their first 6...

    City’s New Kits

We had already won the league then. 22/23 home kit had been released before the Villa final game in 21/22 and it wasn’t used. Can’t see us wearing it next weekend with the title still to be decided.

    Lucas Paquetá

It won’t have been a coincidence but I doubt it is for the reason you suggest. Given the allegations that were discussed last summer, the FA were probably on him for a while. They had to go public because a load of money was about to change hands. It would have been a disaster for us (and...

Last manager who City fans really wanted sacked

Been said loads already but Hughes first and foremost. Wanted him gone before we even got to Xmas that first season. Robinho and Ireland gave us some decent moments at least. Pearce - utterly clueless, it’s a miracle we stayed in the league in 2007. Mpenza was a master stroke. Pellegrini...

    19 | Julian Alvarez - 2023/24

More minutes in those appearances this year too I think for a similar return. I thought he started the season pretty well and also was good during Haaland’s injury. The pair of them have been in poor form since Haaland returned though which is weird.

    Set Pieces

We were top scorers from set pieces 2 or 3 seasons ago if I remember rightly, but the set piece coach moved on after that season.

    Lucas Paquetá

With us being linked to Paqueta still and now Musiala I do wonder the same. Really don’t see where he fits in at the minute, even more so if we make signings (which I think is necessary tbh)

Real Madrid (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Definitely right there. They looked fucked around the hour mark and we were going up through the gears. The subs absolutely saved them in fairness, modric particularly. We would have smashed them if they hadn’t made the change.

Definitely went below 10k, can’t remember exactly

    24 | Joško Gvardiol - 2023/24

Grealish as you’ve said and probably Sterling as well.
