    Jamal Musiala

Mainly in the middle, I'd imagine. We have Doku on the right wing. Given his aptitude, he will be wasted playing out wide.

    Lucas Paquetá

Never been enthralled by him, playing for either Brazil or PL, esp. when he would cost £85mils. Added to his alleged potential betting breaches, he is a player we should be wary of.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

It might very well be that it is Bernie who desperately wants to move to Barca.

    Lucas Paquetá

    Underwhelming.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

He used to play on the RW for his previous club & plays for his national team on the RW. After all, we got him as a replacement for Mahrez.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

He is essentially a right winger.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

Certainly it looked like you were correct during and after the match on Sunday.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

Well, judging from Pep's heated instruction to Grealish after the match, Pep didn't look too happy with his performance. In a sense it's a bit disappointing if he still needs to be instructed in this way. I think we should let him play in a CM's position, rather than out wide as a winger.

    Lucas Paquetá

Hope there is no sinister affiliation linking to Paqueta or his agent/s.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

So why on earth did we spend 60mils for a developing player as a replacement for Mahrez? He hardly looks a versatile, technical, pacey winger/wide playmaker Pep seems to like.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

He and the team were lucky it was Oliver. Otherwise, it would have been easily ruled as a penalty. Too much of a neophyte for a 50/60mils player.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

Hope he is not developing chronic groin pain/hernia. I wonder if he should have surgery on it.

Assessment of our business this summer | Poll Added

And/or so often we fail to get first targets who would fit into our system seamlessly and be able to perform relatively well straight away.

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2023/24

Both are better on the RW. Interesting that Pep plays them on the LW. We have signed Savio who also prefers the RW.

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

I'm inclined to think Bobb or Palmer is a better player than him at the moment. So far, he looks rather limited in what he can do. He was given so many balls and space against Chelsea. He could have attacked more aggressively and should have created chances, but what he often did was to waste...

    11 | Jeremy Doku - 2023/24

Yeah, I too wondered why Pep did not play Foden on the left and try playing Doku on the right.

    Players who might improve us

I watched a match between Iraq and Japan at the Asian Cup last week. He was awful. I'm sure he lost the possession more than 20 times in just 60 mins or so he played for that match! For one thing he does not have enough physicality and his style of play may be suited for La Liga, but not PL...

    Valentin Barco

I'm by no means suggesting we should have got him. LOL. I don't know why you've jumped to the conclusion that somehow I was criticizing us for failing to get him. As for his potential, he may well be loaned out by Brighton as well. We'll see how he fares in the future.

    Valentin Barco

It looks like you are attacking the guy without knowing how Barco was playing. If you care to look at his playing record and analysis, it is obvious that he's been playing more and more in an attacking position on the left.

    10 | Jack Grealish - 2023/24

Surely you are over exaggerating re. his dire physical conditions. He was on the bench available against Newcastle, after all.
