Stupid little things that bug you

Blazers and ties as part of school uniform. Unnecessary. Expensive. Uncomfortable. Not reflective of what people wear in the real world, working or otherwise. A polo shirt & jumper much cheaper and comfortable. Or does wearing a blazer and tie make you learn better?

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Don't want to take the thread too off topic, so apologies. But Paul Lake was a guest at our supporter's club meeting last month (Hazel Grove) and he was brilliant. Very insightful in terms of his playing career, his path since he stopped playing, and a very engaging talk about the mental health...

    The Northern Lights

Taken from the back of our house (Offerton). Can't see them with the human eye but the camera (S24) is picking them up really well.

    He's clearly a know-nowt like his mate Panja ;-)

    Media discussion - 2024/25

The bitter ramblings of a red Scouser on tabloid radio will make no difference to how our hearing plays out. That's the important thing here. It's a sad reflection of the state of some football fans that they think and act like Bishop. It's a sad reflection of the media that they encourage and...

    Fulham (H) | PL | Post-Match Thread

He's very much a safety first player who carries the ball up the pitch, then turns back and passes it inside. I assume he's being told to play that way as Pep keeps picking him, but it feels like he's capable of so much more than he's currently giving, but for whatever reason it's not quite...

Spurs (A) league cup ticket information

Given the away tickets cap of £30 that exists in the league, seems madness Spurs are trying to charge £37 for a midweek game in the least important competition for both clubs. Given this and our own manager saying we won't be wasting energy for this competition (I don't blame him), can't see...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Staying humble isn't in Arsenal's nature, unfortunately.

    Adam Wharton

It's almost as if he was completely overhyped in the summer by those absolutely desperate for someone, anyone to come in and be Rodri's cover. Clearly he's a lad with potential but not long ago buzz words like GENERATIONAL and fees of £70m+ were being thrown about. The feeling on here in the...

Stupid little things that bug you

Chewing gum. Serves no real purpose. Tends to be found all over the pavements of the United Kingdom because people just spit it on the floor and walk away. Seems to have become acceptable that chewing gum can be chewed with your mouth open at all times so you can see and hear everything...

    Newcastle United (A) - Sat 28th Sept, 12:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

Will be interesting to see whether that's at right back, or midfield as a double pivot (perhaps with Kovocic).

Indeed I have! Behind someone who decided I wanted the back of their seat resting against my nose whilst they had a comfy sleep.

Stupid little things that bug you

Plane seats should be in a fixed position. Anyone who puts their seat right back, especially without asking the person behind them, is a c*nt.

    Jamie Carragher

Red shirt content for red shirt fans. And the goons sit there in the audience, lapping it up and cheering along. Not to be taken seriously by anyone with an IQ over 10, let's be honest.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Why fact check when you can report myths as truths to suit your agenda? The joys of the internet, I'm afraid.

Rodri Injury Updates | City say ligament injury (pg117)

You'd hope because those overseeing the City vs PL case are not Twitter Arsenal fans from Kenya, and are highly qualified legal bods with a little bit more going on between their ears.

    Watford (H) - Tues 24th Sept, 19:45 | EFL Cup | Pre-Match Thread

I get an Energy Drink Cup game against Watford may not set the pulse racing for some, and certainly isn't a priority competition, but this is the best era City fans have ever known. Given some of the names said to be playing, this is a nice little change of direction after Sunday.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

I think if you wanted to, you could spin it/read into it many ways. Probably insignificant but interesting.

Great news, and what these games should be used for. Hope to see many of these lads step up.

    Watford (H) - Tues 24th Sept, 19:45 | EFL Cup | Pre-Match Thread

"Hope we go out of the cups" Fucking hell. In the late 90's/early 00's it was a dream just to get to a cup quarter final! With success comes lethargy for some. Thankfully the players have a little more drive than "can't even be arsed watching on TV"".
