Not for me. How did Fred Dibnah survive let alone prosper?

    North Stand Construction Discussion

Vertigo inducing. How do people even go up on those cherry pickers? What did they do before they existed when erecting steel at heights? There are Empire State Building clips of erecting steel that I cannot watch. Not the same scale or scenario but equally as unwatchable. The scale of the whole...

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Just when they thought it was over they get spooked by Peps contract extension.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

It is hard to see how West Hams near free deal on the Olympic Stadium is not classed as state aid and treated in the same way as interest free loans when it comes to FFP/PSR because of the financial advantage it confers. What a can of worms has been opened?

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

Coe has experience of using large amounts tax payers money to fund stadia of no benefit to the general public. Strange how only certain parties benefitted? No wonder the rags wanted him on board.

Brighton and Hove Albion PL (A) | Man of the Match

You're most probably right but for the life of me i can't see it Rico understands the game and finds space so makes it flow always being available and finding a team mate. His weakness is in not scoring enough. His role is not a traditional defensive full back.

Brighton and Hove Albion PL (A) | Man of the Match

RE Rico, we have a different understanding of football. I see why Pep picks him.

Brighton & Hove Albion (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Pep knows. The players know. We are in transition with critical injuries and mental and physical fatigue. We are still on for a record 5th PL title. The CL is still on and the new world club champions a target. Stop being needy and be positive. The end of season outcomes are what count.

Match Thread | Brighton vs. Man City (09/11/24)

Brighton all energy. They will have problems if playing in Europe and with players on International duty.

Sporting CP (A) | CL | Post Match Thread

Added to the lack of goals from midfield KdB, Gundo, Bernardo and even Rodri. Pep had Oscar Bobb down as a potential goal scorer who has been missed playing against packed defences.

Nunes finally looking like a City player, as did all the young ones who came on. Bravo for them. Impressive. A big positive for the future.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

Rodri, Manchester City, Ballon d'Or winner 2024. Deserves all the recognition and accolades.

    La Liga | 2024/25

My take is that the top Spanish clubs, Marca, Barca, Atleti are floundering and on the decline compared to the top English clubs. With the proposed European League having failed they can no longer fall back on their traditional economic advantages that worked before.

    Rodri - The 2024 Ballon d'Or Winner! (Pg 131)

If Rodri wins, then a boost for football in that you do not have to be a show pony to be recognised. Remember the Ballon d'or is a French award heavily influenced by European competition so favouring less demanding leagues. It speaks volumes that Rodri won player of the tournament in the Euros...

More mindless rubbish to undermine City and promote controversy where none exists. UEFA convention records the final score for coefficients so the result for City v Real Madrid was a draw - both on the day and over the two legs. Someone has to go through in a knockout competition and in this...

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

The money is in London and Arse and Spuds proximity to the City meant access to finance against the promise of higher charges for tickets added to a tourist market on tap. Building bigger newer stadia gave them an inherent financial advantage over clubs outside London, especially over poorer...

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

The same clubs responsible for the ending of sharing of gate receipts with away sides introduced during the earliest days of the football league to help level the financial playing field to improve competition. This ended a form of FFP that had a positive effect in the redistribution of money...

    Media discussion - 2024/25

When you watch Gary O'Neils teams play and listen to his deflection tactics to rationalise a poor performance, no wonder England does not produce top class let alone elite managers.
