PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Didsbury tennis courts were the source of balls for dog fetch then lost balls, the staple for playground games and football in Wythenshawe.

    North Stand Construction Discussion

The North Stand Development is a game changer when linked to Co-op live that could not have been foreseen even 10 years ago. Key are the fans zone and hotel that go way beyond match days to make it a destination venue. As pointed out earlier by others, the star rating of hotels is a tick box...

    North Stand Construction Discussion

Unlikely as precedents have already been set not just for connected hotels for income but also for the use of stadia and facilities for none related football events from concerts, other sports, conferences, hospitality, business and other use of facilities. Who can argue if the club store...

    Worst away days

City in the third tier garnered unbelievable support and cameraderie with a bonus that away games were especially memorable events - not always for good reasons. My worst, even worse than Wycombe away was the midweek night match at Oxford Uniteds old Manor Ground, which had the deserved...

    North Stand Construction Discussion

Agreed. To add to your comment, its not only about operating the hotel it is about the sales and marketing of the product. Brands give an identity and an expectation of consistent standards. At present we do not know the target market segments.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

It was about linking trains between Victoria and Piccadilly stations through an underground line. I don't think it went beyond being a proposal with plans and never started.

City’s Top Five Keepers Of All Time

My dad said the same rating Bert over Frank Swift. Of the two, I only saw Bert but rate him as the best not just on ability but for his influence on the game. At a time of mudheap pitches, goalies would hoof the ball as far upfield as possible. Bert preferred to throw the ball more accurately to...

Timpson and Timpsons deserve every credit and more for not just for what has been done around Manchester.

Etihad Campus, Stadium and Collar Site Development Thread

I believe that the basis of the new New York City FC stadium development is similar in that the council in Queens will own the land in the area. NYCFC or CFG will pay an agreed long term rental ie leasehold, so will avoid vagueries of local tax changes on land owners. Sounds similar to the CFG...

Sensible response. Changes have to come.

    Germany v Scotland - Fri 14th June, 20:00 | Euro 2024 Group A

Southgate and the players he favours would make Gundo look bad because of the way they set up and play.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

Masters has proved a USEFUL idiot to the red cartel. I can understand why others before him rejected the job.

City launch legal action against the Premier League | City win APT case (pg901)

They probably see a win-win scenario whatever the outcome. Either City are destroyed or the PL is so discredited they get the super league. Potentially they could get both if the American owners totally dominate majority voting to push through any changes they please. If local supporters...

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

The biggest shock for our detractors, including those in the media, must be how staunchly resolute City fans are united in the support of our club. Part of their strategy was to drive a wedge between us when it has in fact brought us closer together and exposed their falsehoods.

    Media Discussion - 2023/24

The absurdity is that City questioning the legality and motives behind the changes is being reported by the media as an apocolyptic event that will bring down football and civilisation as we know it. It could and should have been dealt with quietly behind closed doors but has been exposed and...

    ITV4 - Sat 11:30am - City/Gillingham documentary (on ITVX)

There were quite a few of us in the Gillingham end as tickets were easy to obtain if you went to their ground.

    ITV4 - Sat 11:30am - City/Gillingham documentary (on ITVX)

Well spotted. Nice bit of nostagia. Id forgotten how late all the goals were including Gillinghams. The ref, Mark Halsey, explained he had been booked into the Hilton by the FA so nothing to do with favouring City when reported as "celebrating with fans" when it was coincidence he was in the...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

The USA has become litigious, an industry in itself with law companies buying cases from others like buying debt and akin to ambulance chasing. The red top American owners will see it as a legitimate tactic to use against City. To them it is worth the risk with all the reputational damage...
