    Last Film You Saw

Late Night With the Devil. Excellent. What a great year it’s been for horror movies.

    NFL 2024-25

Another Steelers fan. I’m not as high on Fields as some, but he’s not done much wrong so far. Their defence though might be the best unit in the NFL and the best the Steelers have had since their 2005 Super Bowl team. They’ll be a handful for anyone if they can stay fit - they beat up the...

I see The Hills Have Eyes is missing its bad guy.

    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

If Oliver is the best we can muster, we should try training capuchin monkeys to do it .

    Arsenal (H) | PL | Post-match Thread

Weird game. We started like a train (savio is going to be phenomenal) they got the equaliser (Oliver is spineless but Walker needs to concentrate on getting back into position) and looked a bit better, they score that goal (it was obstruction but no-one blew up for it first time they tried it so...

Inter (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

They’re the best team we play in the opening stage and did what they came to do very well. It was a rough watch at times and we’re still well off our best but a draw against Inter this early isn’t a disaster. Can we get rid of that fucking kit now?

Can we sack that godawful kit off now?

    The Labour Government

So they have and in 2022. Does underline the point, though.

    The Labour Government

We already cut it by 30% in 2020. How low should it go? The cut to the winter fuel allowance will save £1.4 billion - the equivalent of about 7.5% of our international aid budget, but it’s not an either/or situation. There are other places that 1.4 billion can be found. Tax evasion cost the UK...

    The Labour Government

We haven’t given the Indian government money directly via the international development budget for 13 years. The only parts of the UK foreign aid budget that goes to India is for R&D on projects of ‘mutual financial benefit’ (that’s to secure our place in the rapidly growing internal Indian...

    Last Film You Saw

Blink Twice - the new horror thriller directed by Zoe Kravitz. I liked it though it won’t be for everyone - it’s a bit of a throwback to 70s exploitation movies, particularly the rougher European ones, but it’s well made and a couple of the twists are clever. I was surprised it was released...

    Last Film You Saw

Alien: Romulus is a bit of a greatest hits package but at least it’s made by someone who realised that the first movie is just a really tense monster movie and doesn’t need a massive pointless back story. It was very entertaining and much better than I was expecting.

    Liz Truss

Stuff like this doesn’t do much to dispel the commonly held view that she was just incredibly thick. Who thinks killing cancer patients is a vote winner?

Exactly, but then I’m a petty, vindictive man when it come to this stuff.

I remember the day they relegated us and the joy they took in it. Fuck them and their rag manager. 6-0.

    Moths, wasps and spiders..

Completely fair. On a related note, never go to any Central African jungle.

    Moths, wasps and spiders..

I know someone working on this project! Fen raft spiders are pretty big, but I think ‘the size of a rat’ is OTT.

Stock up on bog roll here we go again

For some viruses it does. For others it doesn’t. What’s the fatality rate for non-vaccinated patients infected with rabies?
