It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Eze's release clause expired. Guess he's not the one for us. Fine with that.

Joao Cancelo | Al Hilal Player

Seems the fact he can play right wing and wingback forcing our hand in terms of *considering* keeping him around. Twat of a face but if he's willing to eat crow and put in a couple 8/10's for us he should be welcome to stay.

    For a backup? Why?

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Didn't this lad tell Bayern and Arsenal to do one as well? And I think Barcelona before those? Doesn't matter if he's being discussed if he likes his mom's patatas bravas...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Guler will start over Rodrygo in the most important matches if Madrid want to actually improve. If not they can continue to get battered by City over two legs each year. No control as it stands.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I guess if we were in for a winger/forward - that process will be expedited with Bobb's broken leg. Rodrygo?

    Bruno Guimaraes

Newcastle are one of the last teams that need a wing back, so unless they plan on playing him in the midfield, they will have little interest in Rico. They have arguably two of the best wingback prospects in England right now in Lewis Hall and Timo Livramento. Not to mention Dan Burn and...

    Alvarez replacement thread

Probably cost too much for his role.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I've always been left disappointed by him when he puts on the Canada shirt. Doesn't really pass the eye test - but his goal scoring record speaks for itself. If its only 30m euros then I'd be okay with it.

Seems a lot of the replies are re Gvardiol and Rodrygo. Personally would not make that swap.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

To be fair - Madrid have a lot of players we could use. Overwhelming amount of talent in the middle of the pitch. Would love to lure a Camavinga/Valverde/Tchouameni/Jude here. Could also be Vini or Rodrygo. But I'm not sure who they'd be after from us?

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

I posted this in the Rodrygo thread a few days ago before tolmies tweet, but updating the post in here now that Tolmie has brought it up. The reality is, Rodrygo will likely not be a starter for Madrid this season in the big games. Arda and Brahim provide far more balance to the attack. Rodrygo...

I was trying to dumb down Palmer's ability into a numerical value for you, as you clearly can't tell by his play on the pitch.

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Yeah mate, well aware. Here's a list of the top 25 players in the world by market value. Palmer sitting comfy at 25th after only one season of top level football. Expect his value to be closer to €110m by the end of this season. He's better, and younger than Odegaard and Lautero who are at...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Okay prem is the best league in the world. He was a top 3 player in that league last season? And should only get better? Barely made the England squad for experience reasons, and was the biggest game changer when he entered the pitch. Did much better than Jude and Phil in his limited minutes...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Ridiculous comment. Probably already a top 25 player in the world as it stands. What a player.

    Rodrygo

If you believe that, go bet on it. Odds are only 3/1 (4.0) that he joins us by September 5th, and 1/5 (1.2) that he stays. If you're 100% sure he stays at Madrid - that's a free thousand pounds on a 5k wager.

    Rodrygo

Correct. Rodrygo will likely not be a starter for Madrid this season in the big games. Arda and Brahim provide far more balance to the attack. Rodrygo the likeliest to be sacrificed. Vini, Mbappe, and Jude will not miss out. Could be something in this as Rodrygo is a better forward than he is...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Would argue McAtee has shown more than Bobb. Both are 21 years old. McAtee had 9 goals and a few assists in ~39 Championship games. And 6 G/A in ~30 Premier League games last season. McAtee has 1500 minutes more of PL football than Bobb. Not sure where these biases form but they certainly lack...

It's Quiet 18 - Wanna ring the bell?

Disagree. McAtee is more than capable of filling Alvarez' midfield role in the squad. He's the type of player that will excel with quality players around him. His ability to play in the pockets is in the highest tier in world football. I'd be comfortable with him playing against any opposition...
