Sorry Saturday Lille v Bastia Sunday Brondby v Aarhus Monday IFK Gothenburg v AIK Tuesday St Pauli v Hertha (Pokal) Weds Inter v Torino (terrible mistake by Joe for their first but great save just before Torino equalised and nothing he could do about the late...

    Bundesliga 2016/17

Having myself just got back from a similar trip (9 matches in 8 countries in 9 days) as my first introduction to European football, I would say it is totally worth it. I'll set out the itinerary here although not strictly Bundesliga focused as this thread does seem to attract fans of travelling...

    Bundesliga 2016/17

See that's why I love this forum; thanks for the info and those who provided advice on last year's thread. I have a mate who is a St Pauli season ticket holder so hopefully he will know the best places to go. Comments re Borussia M duly noted

    Bundesliga 2016/17

I'm having my first taste of German footie next week with St Pauli v Hertha in the Pokal on Tuesday and then Borussia M v Frankfurt on the Friday (with a little trip to see Joe at the San Siro in between). Really looking forward to it I have to say.

Joe Hart (joined Torino on season long loan - Official)

I'm off to Inter v Torino next Weds as part of a week long trek round the footie grounds of Europe so I'll report back on how he looks in the flesh.

Thanks very much for this but has the date moved to the Sunday?

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

Thanks everyone for the help (I do love this forum). Europa League rearrangements means I'll probably need another fixture so I will no doubt be back for more advice!

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

As mentioned a few pages back, planning a trip round the continent with my sons in October trying to take in as many games as possible and have my eye on the Schalke v Mainz game on the 22nd. Can any of the more experiences Bundesliga attendees confirm whether tickets are likely to be on...

    Wolverhampton Wanderers....Takeover?

Wife and all her family are life-long Wolves fans (you have no idea how many times I have had to listen to her dad going on about the floodlit matches in the 50's!) but I think they are a great club and it would be excellent (FFP permitting) if they could get back to the top table.

cptaidan88 - you're a gent. Thanks and yes I will probably end up avoiding Spain for this very reason.

Bundesliga review part 2. the new one :)

Not strictly on point but I am looking at doing a European footie trip with my sons later in the year with the aim of fitting in as many countries as possible. Does anyone know if there is a website that lists fixtures in major leagues by date so I don't have to try and collate 10 lists? Thanks

    Pre-match drinks in town (Today)

Slightly off topic but don't know where else to put it. Coming up from London but can't leave until late due to kids' school but booked on the City train on the way back as only way of getting home tonight. City train tickets come with express lane or whatever its called for the tram. Do...

Tickets home - Real Madrid - Sold out

I am trying to buy for my 3 kids as I am on the scheme. On the phone for 2 hours and still 39. Got through on the website but it's taking so long to load the seat map that the window you have to complete each purchase has elapsed twice now and now I have to leave. Unbelieveable

    But we're all Mancs right?

... and then back again is a nightmare and means you get home at 02;00. Agree that getting back from Euston will be a problem (although not for me as I live close enough to cab it). Thing is they should make this open to those who already have a ticket (like me) rather than having to fork out...

    But we're all Mancs right?

You'd be surprised - I get the train from London for every home game and there are a lot of Blues on there. I have been waiting for Virgin to set up a late night train for night matches for ages as driving all the way from London up the M6

    Russian Literature

From the more modern period, these are all amazing: Bulgakov - Master & Margarita Zamyatin - We Grossman - Life & Fate Kurkov - Death & Penguin *might techn ically be Ukrainian but very funny)

    David White

Funnily enough when my mate in Singapore sent me the link to the story, this was the first game that popped into my head. I'm pretty sure it was the first time I'd ever seen us beat Liverpool. And whilst a lot of nostalgic rubbish is written about the atmosphere at Maine Road, the Etihad has...

    Watford fan critical in hospital....

I am genuinely shocked by this. As there was no City game, and given my wife and her dad are life-long Wolves fans, we all went up to Molineux to watch this match. Whilst there was plenty of controversy and passion in the match, the fans were all mingling outside with no hassle at all. I find...

    Aren't City's players nice!

I can honestly say that is is not just a blue-tinted specs thing either. My other half is a Wolves fan (so life has been a little less stressful this season than when we relegated them on the way to the title last time) so she doesn't come to the matches with me and the kids. She was naturally...
