Fantasy Premier League - 2025/26 | Official BlueMoon League + Cup

hmmm.... and he's back! ;-) Funny how just one player can totally turn things around. First red arrow in 7 weeks... think I'll put my team back out this next week and give it a go. Not a VDV owner

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

I owe you at least a half serious reply on things, even though I do not wish to take away from the current album at hand that I have listened to my required 30+ times, years before this nomination. But I will do the obligatory 1 that BimboBob recommends this week. For Bruce, I'll give you...

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

You lost me on Bruce, AC/DC, and the Beatles. Other than that, we agree! ;-)

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

Those tracks on WYWH other than the title track and "Have A Cigar" never have a chance on "classic rock stations", which is why I don't listen to... CRS. ;-) You aren't alone brother, you aren't alone!

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Well, I'll thank you from my end as by the time I got on the road today, it was updated to the point of my wife asking me what we were listening to... and then after I explained it all and asked her to guess the year, and she was only off by one - to the future. I will say the first 10 from...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

I'm just impressed you knew of Amore from the Independent label Antenna whose cassette was being played from each and every car driving out of the high school parking lot without mistake. "High School Hooters" was a name well earned among those I knew. ;-) I would have included a song from...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

I'll end my section with two tracks that I need to make sure are included. One was from a band I saw back in August this year for the first time, and they did not disappoint. Probably one of the first new wave UK bands I was into, The Fixx's Reach The Beach album I remember first hearing that...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

No worries, and I felt I also needed to circle back to your Don Henley pick. The more I thought about it after my write-up, the more I felt I didn't highlight how much those lyrics resonated with me both back then in my formative years (I was a news"paper boy") and now in appreciation for his...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Wait a minute there, you mean we're at a minimum encouraged to actually listen to the playlists too?! ;-) You don't really need to find out what's goin' on You don't really wanna know just how far it's gone Just leave well enough alone Keep your ..

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Great 1983 you had there, much more interesting than mine still in high school. Unfortunately, given I'm up in Vermont looking for covered bridges around a trip to the Ben & Jerry's factory and Stowe, I'll be the one to break it to you that "Don't Change" was already on our 1982 playlist as it...

Fantasy Premier League - 2025/26 | Official BlueMoon League + Cup

No disagreements there, but I don't think anyone is there at ARSE, but it is "Saka's choice", agreed there. I'm sure you saw who is back on the pitch in south London and of course on PENs too. I'm thinking there...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Your left field track was right down the strike zone for the video I was watching on Friday Night Videos the night my almost unexpected first kiss from Lisa after years of being friends. While there are few things I remember where and when I was that year, that was one night of driving 45+...

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

No, we have not here. But I do know that over on the Rock Evolution thread that there's at least one poster here who nominated them FIRST, and has kept the tracks going through the 70s as it is now in 1983. ;-) They also did very well in '82 with an Eye in the Sky towards a pretty crowded field.

Always a valid concern, and yes, that did cross my mind, but Saka isn't exactly lighting it up either and screaming to do major surgery to get in. And I guess we'll see who gets the ball next time the Pen is awarded. ;-)

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

I love those alarms clocks, the cash register, and the spoken word that shows up at the beginning and end. As far as the production, I've heard that the sound engineer assigned to the band went on to do some great things, but that would be another Project. ;-) Thanks @GornikDaze, I needed...

Fantasy Premier League - 2025/26 | Official BlueMoon League + Cup

A lot of people are debating those same two players and outline the same arguments you've made on Mateta's tougher fixture. Both are highly transferred in too with a price rise this week already. I made my decision back in GW4 WC and am staying the course with Mateta after last week's reward...

Getting easier by the week to live with the latter as they continue to struggle and fall down the table.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

It appears he has traveled back to sunny FLA while I am still in the BLUE State of mind of falling leaves, maple syrup, and great IPAs. Ha, the songs have already been chosen and the writeup is well underway, so I'd say I'm pretty much locked in there. ;-)

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

Yeah, I'm not going to slag that album either as it was the first time I would see Yes on tour - twice! And, 90125 predates Beverly Hills by 7 years and a different decade, so careful there, spires! ;-) And I'll add in the two Trevors on that album with their unique perspectives both made it...
