Mike Scores ridiculous hair was in my list, Wishing is one of 'our' songs.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

I was at that 4-0 loss. In my brain it was a proper autumnal night. The 4th goal was a lob by Steve Moran that slowly sailed towards us in the cage and over Corrigans retreating head. As for TFF. Mad World came out in '82. The album in '83. Seeing as I picked Let Me Go which had the same...

Great choices! If you read up a bit we sort of chat about ABBA and The Day Before You Came. The Joe Jackson song is a doozy and was on my...add it on later list! Also nice that someone added The Message. Grandmaster Flash was sort of helped along the way by Debbie Harry.

Shed and Buried is great full stop. Henry, the ex junkie, is likeable in his ineptitude but Skid, a rather good detailer, Sam, a fantastic mechanic and the God that is Millyard compliment him well. Add in Fuzz, ex drummer with The Wonderstuff plus all round heavy duty mechanic makes a winning...

The Torpedo Club will not, I repeat NOT, be in residence this week.* No further correspondence will be entered into. This decision is final. Any complaints will not be addressed so don't bother writing in. *I had this on the other day.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

It was written by Jane Wiedlin and Terry Hall. Seeing as it's about them having an affair both versions make sense.

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

There are two stories about how they came to record it. Official...Blancmange were offered the chance to do it via their record company, they knocked up a demo and all four Members of ABBA approved it, the first time any ABBA song had been approved for a cover apparently, and even let them use...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

I read the whole thing out to the missus who laughed as well..."you do bang on about Blancmange and DM quite a bit you know"... I didn't read out the George Strait bit as I'd have spent another hour annoying her.

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

90's indie eh? Having spent a lot of the 90's working abroad and missing most of the Britpop era this sort of music passed me by. I was sort of reintroduced to Cast when the house was full of tunes in preparation for the missus going to watch Oasis in Cardiff. In amongst my bellowing at her to...
