Will we win the league this season?

Where would you fit all those players though Marmoush-------Haaland-----Cherki -----------------Foden------------------- --------------Rodri----Nico -----------------Back 4----------------------- -----------------Donarumma-------------- Something like that? Or are you thinking that cherki and...

Will we win the league this season?

agreed - Sav, Doku and Bobb can only dream of the types of numbers Sterling for instance used to get.....Our wide players seem to have stopped attacking the back post as well

Will we win the league this season?

No.... Team in transition..... We have a fight for top 4 and that must be our aim...... We dont have enough world class players....Haaland, Rodri and Donarumma and that is it and one of those is struggling to get fit and stay fit. We have potential (Foden, Gvardiol,) but there are too many...

    Swansea City (A) - Wed 29th Oct, 19:45 | EFL Cup | Pre-Match Thread

Need to use this game to try something else....Get Cherki on for starters OReilly at fullback Give haaland a rest and get Marmoush on.. Drop 2 of Oscar Bobb Reijnders and Sav....send a message that they simply need to up their games. Im sure however we will see Rico Lewis in midfield

Foden is the only one with the bollocks to continually try to find the pass...Doku does sometimes tbf Bobb and Sav often take the very easy safe options.....

It says it all that even with Both Rodri and Nico out he cant even make the bench.....stealing a living literally

The last time I saw Alt Nouri play was one of the worst displays from a city player Ive seen in a long time....he had that air of sloppiness and lacking fight about him straight off Khunsonov is a big miss defensively.

Agreed - i think now he is fit that is what Pep will do....but not away vs Villa...he would have got run over like the rest of our midfield did....

who else could he have played there though? Kova and Nico clearly were not fit enough....IM also not sure Kov adds or changes that performance (Nico did when he came on tbf)

I agree but who does he play...Nico would have started if fit I believe....I suspect the same can be said of Kova (but he aint great defensively either) I agree on Sav - i said in the summer we should have taken the spurs money I suspect Pep thinks Cherki is going to struggle at present...

    52 | Oscar Bobb - 2025/26

At present he would be better off just training and being a sub (at best)...that injury has clearly effected him physically and maybe mentally, He is struggling to run and compete.

    4 | Tijjani Reijnders - 2025/26

Needs to be dropped. He needs to toughen up as well.....he is trying to coast through games - Im yet to see him put any real effort in. Defensively very poor and his attacking threat is none existent He needs time to prove himself but at present he isnt offering anything.

agree with all of that except the Pep bit.... I think again like last season he knows we arent strong enough.... I said during the summer that we had too many average players...issues at fullack, CDM and wingers....got roundly jumped on by some regulars on here.....but here we are....Like you...

was thinking the very same thing and said it in the summer.....he is close to being finished.

we say stuff like this regularly but it never turns out that way....the step up from academy to first team is a big one and I doubt he would look any better once on the pitch

We also have to consider the very real possibility that Rodri might never full recover his full self. After such an injury and at 29 years old he might not recover his full power....There are so many players that have suffered similar injuries and never full recovered from it. .. This needs to...

glad someone else said that...despite the results we aint been anywhere near at it. I think the bigger picture is a lack of quality in the squad....especially in wide positions (wingers and fullbacks)....Reijnders is another problem as well as he is adding nothing.

Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

People are pinning their hopes on him and of course he could change things..he has the talent....but Pep clearly (by not starting him today for instance) is worried about something.....Im not sure Cherki is suited when we are a team that is easy to transition against....he would be lost and we...

Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

People can blame the starting 11 (and they are right) but the bigger picture is the question of attacking quality with the exception of Haaland. Sav was poor again, Bobb even worse - how he got into the starting 11 I just dont know as he aint there on performances so far this season. Doku was...
