You have misunderstood. I said need. House paid for. Kids probably already set up. Who in retirement would need an income more than the average wage?

Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

I can't believe you are accidentally this ignorant. According to Red Cross statistics, in the first two decades of the occupation, from 1967 to 1987, one in three Palestinians, about 500,000, were detained by Israeli forces. Just in this 21st century, prior to Oct 7th Israel had killed over...

What has the UK become under the far right influence?

I know lots of immigrants seem to want to pull the ladder up after them, but I can't recall anyone whose family emigrated to Britain to escape the Holocaust being so blatantly hypocritical about it.

I may have misunderstood but why would anyone need a £40k pension?

Middle East Conflict | Netanyahu orders strikes on Gaza (p1161)

Excuse my scepticism but why have Hamas got an Israeli bulldozer - normally used for demolishing homes, schools and hospitals? Even if true, why should Israel's response to Hamas moving one dead Israeli be to kill many more Palestinians?

    The Labour Government

Poor start to that post and just got worse. It's people on £100k who will be leaving generational wealth. 20% of MPs went to Oxbridge. Why would having a degree mean you've inherited money? And pensioners were "hit" with losing £4 a week WFA while getting £45 a week pension increase in two years.

I think "prison sources" have already said it might be a factor. What the stats don't say is whether those wrongly released were (e.g.) someone due to be deported or someone who should have been released on Monday who was released on Friday.

Tories had 14 years to fix it. Of course the shortage of prison staff is political.

Reform 2025 Limited new name same business

People may want adverts "...to change our history... A false version of the country..." (He was having a dig too at colour-blind casting in Bridgerton.) Daft as that sounds, I am reminded (because I only heard it two days ago) that French philosopher Renan in the 19th century lectured on...

What's the source for that last claim? Stats on prisoners absconding are kept separately.

Aston Villa (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

I started counting as soon as he had the ball then threw himself to the ground. Sky every time thought that they would have long enough to cut to a replay so I never saw when he released the ball.

A bit of a whoosh there. 800 prisoners released by mistake in the Tories' 14 years - how many made headlines?
