Sorry a bit late with this one,not really my thing at all. First track was ok a bit of Florence and The Machine vibes, on Endless Summer she sounded like Taylor Swift. It was nice enough for a few listens but won’t be investigating further. 5/10

The Album Review Club - Week #191 (page 1286) - Harlequin Dream - Boy & Bear

I love this thread, trying to guess the album of the week and then reading the reasons for nominating a particular album and then of course listening to it then reviewing it.However my greatest joy is discovering something new that I really enjoy .there have been a number of occasions when this...

PINK FLOYD DARK SIDE OF THE MOON I’ve never been a big PF fan,but I’ve had this album and WYWH in my collection for decades. It’s one of the ultimate classic albums, like others I know it so well ,that like Bimbo it only needed one listen to enjoy it again.I also liked Coats suggestion of...

    Rock Evolution – The History of Rock & Roll - 1984 - (page 198)

It wasn’t till 1984 that I first saw The Waterboys live supporting U2 at the Manchester Apollo and what a great double gig that was.But was a fan as soon as I heard their first single ‘A GIRL CALLED JOHNNY’ written as a sort of tribute to Patti Smith who I was also a fan of.

MCD, when this first started, this is how I imagine you trying to listen to Rush. I was going to ask if she is related to you in some way? ;-) Ha ha that’s exactly how I listen to Rush with my hands over my ears when Geddy Lee starts ‘singing’ I think I would’ve known the into was PIB...

DEEP PURPLE MADE IN JAPAN Heavy Metal is not my bag, I’d never listened to a DP album before although my elder brother had ‘In Rock ‘ and ‘Fireball’ so a number of the songs on this album sound familiar. Whilst stating the obvious I think to appreciate a live album you have to be a fan of...

Glad to be of assistance, pretty sure Marshall Crenshaw was pretty unknown on this side of the pond at the time.
