I’m a big Springsteen fan but the band take this song to another level.

It wasn’t till 1984 that I first saw The Waterboys live supporting U2 at the Manchester Apollo and what a great double gig that was.But was a fan as soon as I heard their first single ‘A GIRL CALLED JOHNNY’ written as a sort of tribute to Patti Smith who I was also a fan of.
