    Chelsea (H) - Sat 17th Feb, 17:30 | PL | Pre-Match Thread

This will be a routine City win. Not really much else to say. I’m guessing a comfortable 3-0 win for you lot.

Lol on penalties, in normal time? Just exactly how many penalties do you think Jota and Diaz will con out of the ref?

Jackson had less than 50 top flight games to his name when we signed him. I think there's good potential in him. People clown him a lot but he actually puts in a good shift and contributes well in most games he plays. I'd much rather start Jackson over any of the following .. Mudryk Sterling...

Given the way we capitulated at Anfield recently, I'd take a boring 0-0 and take my chances in a 50/50 penalty shootout.

I hope you're right mate. I believe in the players we've signed. I think they're for the most part all good pros, talented kids who can be brilliant, some of them already are, but I'd be lying if I said I had the same belief in Poch and this ownership.

I'm pretty confident that it will be a comfortable City win unfortunately. I think we caught you in a bit of a slump last time we played and we could still only muster up a draw. You're much more settled now and much better form, I don't think there's a chance we get anything out of this.

No worries, and the feeling is mutual. I'd 1000% rather see City win this title than Arsenal or Liverpool.

I think it’s a mixture. Some players clearly aren’t up to scratch, and we’re gonna have to start having some uncomfortable conversations about some of them. Poch is struggling to implement anything resembling a reliable plan week to week. Injuries to key players haven’t helped, and the squad...

You quite literally never have anything of use to add to this thread. All you post is this antagonistic nonsense. It’s a waste of time trying to engage with anything you have to say.

Why? Because I have identified different problems within the club and that I think Enzo is a fantastic brilliant player? You’re gonna have to explain this one to me.

I genuinely feel awful for him. They even delayed his return to make sure he was 100% right and fit and then he gets injured again 30 mins of football with a new unknown return date. My guess is we won't see him until next season.

Don't need to do that this summer as we don't have a 40 man squad full of uninterested senior players. We may have to trim around the edges, sell a couple of players, maybe get in one marquee signing and go again next season.

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

Yeah we will see. You may end up being right but I see doom mongering predictions around Chelsea a lot. We were told last summer we were fucked because there's no way we'd be able to sell 15 players. We sold half the squad, a lot of them for decent fees, despite the entire world knowing we...

They will have noted no such thing. If they have identified a player from Chelsea that can help them that Chelsea are willing to sell, clubs will buy their player and not give one iota of thought about 'helping Chelsea'. Mount has been injured anyway. No one is looking at that and thinking...

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

We have a couple of potential stars but yes, Chelsea went down the route of investing in potential. Incredibly risky but that is the path they chose. I don't think they bought a single ready made star aside from Nkunku. Probably 95% of the signings have been 22 years old or younger. Sterling and...

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

People said this last summer but in the end clubs are more interested in helping themselves than this alternate reality where they're supposed to care so much about sticking it to Chelsea. Why would Arsenal and United have Havertz and Mount miss half of their preseason preparations? If Wolves...

Got fit, came on in a game for a 30 min cameo debut, got injured again and now he's out indefinitely. Poor kid. Feel awful for him.

Well I don't need pundits building narratives around him to know what I'm seeing. For example, pundits praise Thiago Silva endlessly but I actually think he's one of the bigger problems in the team.

I disagree with that entirely. He’s a brilliant midfielder and he’ll be one the best PL midfielders for years and years to come. We don’t need to move him. He will be the centrepiece to the next great Chelsea team.

It’s obvious we disagree. I don’t think our current problems are related to him. You may think so, and that’s fine. As I said I think he’s a brilliantly talented player and love watching him. So it’s not a case of him ‘coming good’. I already love what I see from him.
