PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

You’re absolutely spot on that they have previous on continuing your hammer the position that they’ve won - even when anyone with half a brain can see that they’ve lost. And of course I wouldn’t expect them to say they were fucked. I’d expect them to say nothing. They didn’t.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Exactly - that was one of the points I was making in my post. I’d expect them to say nothing, and come out with some bland, anodyne statement about waiting for the verdict before passing comment. They didn’t do this.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Absolutely mate - as I said to another poster above, it would definitively be consistent with the general levels of arrogance and overconfidence that characterise most of the PL’s statements.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Did the PL actually offer City a deal though? There’s absolutely no credible evidence to suggest they did - or at least not that I’ve ever seen. Your second point is right though, and I did reflect that in my post. They come across as a colossally arrogant and entitled organisation, so then...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

No - I don’t like it much either mate. Let’s hope they are guilty of a fatal over confidence based on the general levels of arrogance that most comments the PL has made on this matter have been characterised by.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I don’t post this lightly, but having spent the last few days with a couple of people in very senior positions at the PL - they are certainly feeling very confident in their position. You’d expect that, to a point - and clearly this would only be of note or concern if we are to assume either...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Absolutely mate - look at the Trump Administration’s response to that social media influencer getting shot over in the US. Governments getting involved in directly legislating what can and can’t be said sets a genuinely terrifying precedent for the world. Even more so because, whatever you may...

Injuries 2025/26 | Kovacic could be ruled out for further 3-4 months (p37)

Gvardiol isn’t far off. He’s still only 23, which is so young for a CB. By the time he hits his prime, he’ll be up there with the best CBs in the world.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

Been rubbing those magic balls again mate? You can’t be wrong in what you say though, given ‘soon’ is entirely subjective, Great work!

Not what I’m hearing mate. I believe he’s signing a new contract.

Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Fair enough mate. Some like to bemoan - some like to see the positives. Each to their own, I guess. Not sure what you hope to achieve by bemoaning a load of stuff that happened in the past rather than focusing on what we’re trying to build in the here and now. Surely I’m not alone in hearing...

Arsenal (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

There’s been a lot of pompous, deeply pretentious, precious nonsense posted on here since the end of the game yesterday, which does no-one any favours. We’re in the middle of a complete rebuild of the squad, and trying the repair our confidence off the back of a season in which we looked...

Have we have got our attitude and a spine of Captains back?

Yeah - that’s definitely a better characterisation of what happened to all four ‘Galacticos’ - the decision was made above Manager level, and wasn’t about suitability for a specific playing style, but about overhauling the entire football operation at the Club. Absolutely the right approach too...

Have we have got our attitude and a spine of Captains back?

None of Messi, Neymar or Mbappe left because Enrique decided they didn’t fit his style. That is a pure revisionism to fit a narrative. Neither did Donnarumma. And if you want evidence of wages being more than ‘probably a factor’ in his case, then read Luis Campos’ interview only last week...

    Stefan Ortega

There’s no point in getting rid of him now, as we can’t use his squad place for another player til January. We have the opportunity to re-evaluate in the winter window, and if we decide to bring in a right back or to fill another position - then it may be we decide he’s the one to make room...

Injuries 2025/26 | Kovacic could be ruled out for further 3-4 months (p37)

Kovacic was an Op, and Marmoush was on International duty - so definitely nothing to do with our training regime for either of those. Ait-Nouri and Cherki could be - I don’t think we’ve had the detail on their injuries to make a judgement yet.

    Welcome Donnarumma!

That’s fair enough mate. I don’t personally rate Sky Sports or the Athletic as having anything remotely useful or insightful to add to the debate, and would prefer to trust the direction of our Manager (based on his track record of actual delivery on the pitch) and our DoF - who are deeply...
