Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

There’s plenty of reasons why a ticket hasn’t been used once by the account holder. Working abroad for a year or two. Serious illness. Maybe a prison sentence. But I’d guess that the majority of those 1,200, or at least a fair chunk of them are touts accounts. And the named holder probably...

Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

They are member prices. I don’t want to put a downer on things. But if I’ve read it correctly, they haven’t actually made any commitment on prices to non members.

    VAR Discussion Thread | 2024/25

A bit more info has come out about the specifics of this. The linesman will be prompted to raise his flag when a player in an offside position by more than 10 cm touches the ball. So it wouldn’t be currently transferable to the Premier League, as it requires a chip in the ball. It also, of...

Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

It’s probably asking too much but there’s no real reason, other than a bit of admin, why, if they’re encouraging people to buy in bulk in July, they couldn’t offer direct debit terms, similar to ST holders.

Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

It’s a difficult one for the club I suppose. In an ideal world they’d probably prefer to hold back all sales until a fixture is set in stone. But with the result of cup games dictating that, often even cup games we’re not involved in, it’s not really practical.

    Thank You Kyle Walker

I’ve only seen a snippet but wasn’t that the question that he was asked though? It sounded like it from his answer. Put it this way, his podcast has got an awful lot more attention because of it. Which was probably the intention of whoever decided to frame it like that.

Priced out? | Club announce that matchday tickets being reduced by up to 43% (p93)

Just the ‘middle of July’ at the moment. They do also say that the ‘majority’ of tickets will not be released until closer to the respective match. They do use the word ‘continuation’ of that policy though, which surprised me. I wouldn’t really know but just going off what I read on here I...

    Paddy power ads

Which bookies do you have in mind? In my experience all the major bookmakers are like peas in a pod. Individuals will obviously have individual tales to tell about bad experiences with specific firms. But if you look at the bigger picture, they all operate in a very uniform manner.

Greenland a nation that can't play internationals

Gibraltar won their case at our old friends CAS against UEFA rejecting their application, on the grounds that UEFA adopted their policy on only accepting sovereign states AFTER they had denied Gibraltar’s initial application. The Faroes were admitted years before UEFA adopted their current policy.

Well a zombie is a person who’s died and has come back to life as the ‘undead’ I don’t want to give too much away but the people in The Last of Us, that may seem a bit weird have never died.

Technically speaking, there are no zombies in The Last of Us. But some people might find the difference between zombies and what they are, as a bit minutia.

Are those City Suites buildings in Salford? I never would have thought that. They must be about three steps from the border if they are.

    2025 Rugby League Season

I’ve never watched a women’s rugby game in my life until the other day, when I stumbled across the women’s State of Origin. I think I only left it on for a bit of a giggle at first, but you know, it was pretty good. It probably helped that it was packaged up into showing the highlights of...

    Something Special about Stockport?

Probably similar to the airport line. I doubt anyone, apart from maybe tourists who don’t know what they’re doing, gets the tram all the way from the airport to town. When they can jump on a train on the next platform and do it in a fraction of the time. But it’s handy for people in various...

    Fixtures Calendar - 2025/26

In my puddled mind, we alternate with United for last game of the season at home and it’s our turn next season. It this even a thing, or am I chatting shit again?

Must be getting mixed up. There was definitely criteria for something recently where they said attendance at Wembley games counts.

Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

I think there were 8 home cup games last season. Most of them pretty cheap. So it looks like you could have got a Flexi ST next year if you attended as few as 4 home league games. Maybe 2, as I think the Semis and Final might have been included?

    Older guys younger women.

There’s exceptions to every rule. But in the majority of cases they’ll come a time when the woman stops thinking it’s great being with a more mature guy, who might be more on her wavelength. And start thinking, I’m still a relatively young woman. What the fuck am I doing with this old bastard...
