    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

VAR powerless. He’d blown up before the ball was in the goal.

Brilliant work mate. Much appreciate all the effort.

    VAR Discussion Thread | 2024/25

VAR has access to all their own cameras, plus all broadcaster’s images, so that’s not really controversial is it?

    "Manneh is Red"!

My lad once called it Manny. He was at Manchester Uni, so he picked it up from the out of towners there. Anyway, I told him I would give him a pass on that one occasion. But if I ever heard him say it again, I’d be disowning him and cutting him out of my will. Seems to have done the trick.

Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

Not sure I agree with that. No one wants to stick the boot in when you’re grieving but they don’t have to let you take over a deceased person’s ST. Some might argue even that’s not fair. But I personally think it’s fine. But don’t really see much of an argument for inheriting their points as well.

EFL & NL Playoff Games | National League Final 1st June

Pleased for Sunderland. Know a couple of good lads from that way and I like the people and the place. Pain in the arse to get to mind. Nothing against Sheff. Utd. And it’s a nice easy trip. But they’ve had a couple of goes at the Prem. recently, so good to share the love around a bit. My...

    MCFC Supporters Clubs In Wales

It’s not on any official channel, so you’ve got no chance of any pub having it on. If you’re at Hafan y Môr, or even if you’re not, you might be best heading down to Criccieth and somewhere like The Lion Hotel has a big beer garden, where you could set up camp and watch it on your own device...

    "Manneh is Red"!

A high percentage of the originals moved there from Hulme. Or ‘Oome’ as they pronounced it.

Gary Neville | Banned from attending Sunday’s game by Forest

Look, I wasn’t being literal. I’m aware that collectively the 20 clubs as ‘The Premier League’ negotiate contracts with broadcasters and one club can’t just go it alone. It was more just a general point that Forest, like all the clubs, are happy to take Sky’s millions but now it seems want to...

Gary Neville | Banned from attending Sunday’s game by Forest

Why? Because when one company is giving another company in the region of £300 million, the company accepting the money, don’t get to call the shots. If they don’t like Sky’s terms. Fine. Tell them to fuck off and don’t take their money.

Gary Neville | Banned from attending Sunday’s game by Forest

If I was Sky I’d tell Forest to let us know when the ban is up and we’ll consider showing some of your home games again. In the meantime, I’m sure you won’t be interested in your share of the £6.7 Billion we’ve just agreed to pay the Premier League to show live games over the next four years.

    Champions League places 2025/26

If you’re looking at bookies as representing roughly the true odds, it is about 25/1 for the four results needed to keep us out of the top 5. So that’s about a 96% chance we do it.

    Referees’ Performances | 2024/2025

I’ve no idea about age restrictions. I think he had a very bad injury a few years ago that held him back for a while. Taylor was a similar age when he became a Premier League regular and is still getting some of FIFA’s top games though.

Season Tickets - 2025/26 | Changes to ticket transfer this season (p101)

As long as it’s up to date in your account, I wouldn’t worry about what it’s showing in your wallet until at least the day before the first home hand. At some point before last season, they were all showing some non existent game against Feyernoord or some shit.

    Trams tonight

Not really relevant but I’d be interested in how profitable the Trafford Centre line is? Virtually nobody uses it to go shopping. There’s next to no houses on the route. And all the workers who travel back to town, seem to get the bus. Presumably as it’s quicker, cheaper and doesn’t involve a...

Sky Sports-screening pubs near Wembley for Fulham (a)

Do TNT normally have a game on the last day? It would surprise me if they had a game that clashes with others on Sky.

Kevin De Bruyne | Appreciation thread

I was a bit surprised that the owner of the club couldn’t spare a couple of minutes to record a quick message.

The post office actually asked people to keep using Cheshire on their letters in the 70s, when it changed to GM, as it would help them sort the mail.

    Sinbin

This is obviously a ridiculous idea. But I’ve always been against sin bins in general. You think there’s a lot of time wasting now? Imagine an extra 30 or 40 minutes per game, where one side or the other is a man short and killing as much time as they can until they’re back up to a full team?

No mate. Postcodes might give a clue to historic locations. But they mean nothing now other than an aid for delivery companies.
