UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

Yeah Carter looked much happier there. I do think you lose a bit of something pushing Greenwood to LB but from a squad perspective it's probs the best option we have.

Toone deserved that. She's been great today.

Where are all the LJ truthers now!?

Much better from England that. Toone providing a bit a more industry to the midfield, LJ terrorising them on the right and Hemp getting a lot of joy on the left. Bronze has played some brilliant crossfield passes over to Hemp although I do worry a little about her being caught out of position...

Felt like a questionable career move but maybe she just saw it as a good life opportunity. A year in Barcelona, playing alongside the best in the world and around a team winning trophies. After the horrendous health problems she'd had and a difficult time under Taylor, maybe it felt like a nice...

UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

FWIW it's worth I don't think LJ has lit up the England team in the same way she has Chelsea but, like her brother, she's been severely hampered by injuries. She's still only 23. The hype around Lauren James exists because she's a magnificent player. Probably the only player in the current...

UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

I don't think this is an ego thing at all or a problem with attitude. They just arent good enough and/or barely played last season due to injury.

Yeah Hemp gets stuck in and she's good at shuttling up and down that wing. Her with Alex on the left side of a back 3 would be decent I think. I'd also bring Clinton in for Stanway as she's had a good season and has a decent engine on her.

UEFA Women's Euros | England win final on penalties!

That was a real mess and it also showed up all of the deficiencies that have been bubbling under the surface for a long time. From the side that won it in 2022, there's only really Russo who you could say is possibly a better player than they were 3 years ago. I know a few of them have been...

    Iman Beney - New signing

Yeah his track record is fairly impressive but also the game has changed a lot since he won the champs league. That said, he has heaps of experience in the women's game and you'd assume that's where he wants to be. It's a much better situation than just promoting CFG yes men whose ambitions lay...

    Iman Beney - New signing

This post is a bit of a dense read but it does suggest that there could be a change of formation under Jeglertz and a new role in particular for the wide players. Feels like a role that might suit Beney. Like you say though, at 18 and with Casparij clearly settled and having signed an...

Not the most exciting opening fixtures. Beney looked a promising player though. Interesting she plays RB at international level but s a forward at club level. Wonder how we'll use her. Looking forward to catching Italy tomorrow who have been on much improved run lately. Spain should bring a...

The timing seems a bit less weird when you factor in it leaked a week ago initially. There was a photoshoot leaked by a stylist. Tbh there was no way of telling if it was actually Lohmann from the picture but for whatever reason a lot of people believed they had intel to say it was. If it is...

Past couple of years we've done really well at retaining players. Jill Roord is the only one who has gone that we would have probably chosen to keep. Oh and Aleixandri but that's inevitable when you sign a a catalonian player. They wil always end up at Barca if they're half decent. Bronze left...

Strongly suspect she'll go with Hampton for this one. Having been switching it up between Earps and Hampton so often over the past 12 months we've hardly seen a settled GK and back 4 in the run up to this tournament. They need as much game time together as possible.

There's defo an opportunity for LCL to do something a bit different and they could pick up a lot of new fans through NOT being affiliated with a men's team.

Of course I agree with Michelle Kang in so far as much that I want to see women's sport platformed more, but I'm just wary of the fact that underneath that girlboss veneer there's another shady billionaire every bit as objectionable as the rest of them (i accept these are the times we live in...

To be fair, the WSL's preferred way forward (which was even more of a money grab) was to close the league off entirely. No more promotion and no more relegation. A way of getting US investors with a view to flipping the clubs in a few years time. The fans, football writers and the FSA were...

Jill Roord ACL - Docu about her recovery P4.

I think this is a bit of a harsh take tbh. She got the injury doing her job and the club has a duty of care to get her fit again (which is also in their interests). It doesn't seem like there's been any huge drama over it. She hasnt agitated for a move to a direct rival and it doesnt seem to be...
