UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

I still also haven't heard much explanation about how the gender critical types will feel when burly bearded trans men start rocking up in the ladies toilets either. And what do they do when they have a cis gendered woman coming into the toilets who might have the wrong haircut or a slightly...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

"Probably close to 100%". BASED ON WHAT!? Hold your opinions however you want but stop speaking for women and making up statistics. They're completely wrong. If you believe what you believe is right there's no need to go around simply making shit up. I know and work around women in sport and...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

You only asked for one. You made.a real point of asking me to name ONE. I could also point to the fact that the entire USWNT issued a statement censuring a teammate when a pile of their homophobic and transphobic tweets were unearthed last year. The NWSL also issued a statement in support of...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

"Rapinoe say no more." Oh dear. So lets juat recap where we're up to. Man speaks on behalf of women. Woman says you don't speak for her. Man challenges woman to name another woman who disagrees with him. Woman names another woman. Man says "no not that woman". Thank you for you allyship.

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

I'm not arguing with you about this. As I said, I'm heavily involved in women's football so I am fully aware of the instances you'd mentioned. I also know there was a lot of support for Sutton United and the player involved from within the women's football community. It is not for you to come...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

We'll have to agree to disagree on that. I think regardless of one's views on how we discuss the differences between sex and gender, we should still be able to talk about trans people in a way that affords them compassion and dignity. I think it's sorely lacking in a lot of the posts on this...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

Sorry, but you just can't make blanket statements like this. Anecdotally you might know people who share your attitudes but you do not speak for all women and you shouldn't need to pretend to if you genuinely believe in what you're saying. I am what you would call a "real woman" by your...

UK supreme court ruling on legal definition of a woman

Just want to express my support and solidrity with trans and gender non conforming people in light of the cruel and continuing hostility they're facing. I know there are people on this forum who have people close to them who are impacted by this news too so I hope they're all feeling OK. I'd...

    City Kits for CWC | Home - Blue, Away - White/Sash, Keeper - Orange/Sash

I think this move completely aligns with that the Club World Cup is all about tbh. This is about taking clubs away from their traditional fanbase and communities. Breaking those bonds and treating the clubs as franchises. They don't want the clubs to be answerable to their old fans. Those kinds...

With you on the social media side of things. I think after trying the one club approach the club have now reverted back to using their own dedicated channels with the men's and women's stuff mostly separated out. Even though I follow both I actually prefer it that way. Regarding scheduling I...

Hmm going off what a lot of the fans are saying though, I think the perceived lack of transparency has proved frustrating for a lot of them. And it's felt like it's slightly damaged the connection with the fans. I dont think it's made people attend more or fewer games either way, but I think...

But like I say, their colleagues in the game and at other clubs have all of that information. It's just left fans feeling frustrated and uncertain if anything. Like I say, I don't think we as fans have a "right" to this information, it just seems a curious choice. Also information has...

There's clearly been a directive this season to be as evasive as possible around injury news. I'm not really sure who is behind that decision or why but it goes right back to Shimizu getting her ACL at the olympics last year. I think it took about 6 weeks for the club to confirm that. I know a...

    WFAC S.F Man Utd (H) 13.04.25

Past few weeks/months have been a really tough watch. Our problems thus season were initially self inflicted by keeping the wrong man in charge for way too long. But since November onwards our injury situation has just decimated our season. Losing CL football could have ramifications for us...

I'm not sure one way or the other what will happen with this transfer. My gut is it probably wont happen. All I was saying was you can't absolutely write off a transfer on the basis of no CL football. I was asked for examples so I gave them.

    Florian Wirtz

My point is there are examples of elite players moving to clubs without champions league football. Including to us. I'm not saying Wirtz is coming to us but I wouldn't write off any signing on the basis we'll be out of the champions league for one season. Joining a club as well resourced as...

For us? Tevez, Yaya Toure, Silva, Dzeko. For other teams? I'd say Chelsea haven't had too much issue recruiting players lately. Im not a massive Enzo Fernandez fan myself but he went there off the back of winning the world cup and was highly sought after.

Champions League certainly helps but i don't think you can say 100% absolutely that elite players won't move to clubs without champions league football. There are plenty examples of where it's happened, including to us.
