We are all guessing but my guess is that it won’t get done now (same as you) both sides have publicly dug their heels in. The only way that it might change is if Liverpool pay the full asking price. I think it might be a matter of principle with the Saudis now. It will be fun to watch either way!
He must be tired of moving house! He has this season as last year of his contract then will go on a free somewhere I expect. Seems keen to play on a few years. I hope he comes back as part of the staff one day.
Echeverri is as a weird one. I’d love to keep him and there is a very good player there, but I think a loan might help him play more in a World Cup year.
I thought Kovacic might go. I wonder if he would have gone had he not been injured. It’s ironic that sometimes players are “saved” from a transfer by being injured just at the right time. That said more probably miss out on a move for the same reason.
Might be a useful squad player.
His time is up but a great player for City.
All this I’ll chuck in a fiver or I’ll drive him to the airport is cringy and really boring now…and that goes for all our treble winners. Just listen to yourselves on these threads. I’ve seen it for a few players now even Gundo…Just pack it in please.
We are now in the Viana regime. Buy as cheaply as possible, sell as expensive as possible and don't blink first!
At least, I guess that’s what is going on.
50% of all transfers dont work out so we are not doing too badly.
Where Phillips is slightly worse is you can normally sell on, albeit at a loss but his decline is so bad nobody wants him and his injuries don’t help either.

They will come down as players leave but around 26 will be average. At the moment most clubs have 30 and will lose around 4 players on average before the window closes so I have no idea what he’s on about.
