You're probably right, but I wouldn't be surprised if Poch elects to keep one or two in this season's squad.

I think that most Chelsea fans are keen to find out also!

I don't think that was ever the plan. Proceeds from the sale are going to Ukraine, which I believe is still the case. RA's historical loans are a separate issue as I understand it.

My understanding is that large parts of the debt were entered into before Premier League or UEFA rules existed.

Agree. I certainly don't want to write him off. He is capable of being a top player still.

Maatsen looks ready to me. I really hope Poch agrees. Sterling has shown flashes of quality, but sadly just seems to spend the majority of games passively. Overall I have to say that if we had a way to move him on that might be best.

I think you should [emoji23] Only kidding of course bro. I don't think any of us have any answers at this moment to the questions that naturally City fans like yourself are asking. Maybe they'll be more information in the future, although given that UEFA and Chelsea have both declared this...

Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign midfielder Lesley Ugochukwu from Rennes for €27m (£23.1m). Ugochukwu came through the academy at Rennes and has gone on to make 60 appearances for the club, including 35 in all competitions last season. He also has 6 caps for France u19s. Another exciting...

Amen. Isn't there a thread over on the Bluemoon page dedicated to City's fight against the forces of evil?

Good to hear from you bro. All I can say is my position must be reasonably sound if you're having to take issue with my terminology [emoji846]

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

I haven't seen a Chelsea fan on these boards presume City's guilt. I have personally stated in very clear terms that I have no idea so won't have an opinion on the subject. And as for professing that our club is squeaky clean, that's tosh as well. UEFA's statement has been quoted. Their...

Sorry, but that's an extremely naive statement. People and organisations fuck each other over in every business segment. Its human nature, sadly.

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

Got you! My immediate thought is that because Chelsea's new owners were proactive in bringing what have been described as minor issues to UEFA's attention, it's all been handled behind closed doors between the two parties, and therefore away from media gaze. In contrast City have denied any...

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking me what my feeling is with regards the Prem allegations against City?

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

I'm sorry if you or anyone else felt that my post implied that I think City are guilty of UEFA's or the Prem's allegations. That was not my intention. As I've said here already, I have no idea as I don't know enough about it.

    Chelsea Thread - 2023/24

That's a hugely simplistic and inaccurate summary. We've agreed to a fine despite UEFA stating that any potential breaches are unclear and minor in nature (see post #443 in this thread). Apparently they viewed your alleged contraventions as being more serious, as do the Prem.

I don't presume City to be guilty or innocent. I don't know enough about it.

I suspect there's quite a bit of difference from a legal perspective. I agree with you regarding FFP. It's a flawed system - and that's being kind.
