If there is a buyout clause and we plan to go about activating it I’d suggest the reason for not doing so yet is that Bernardo’s exit is yet to be finalised. There’s no room in our squad for both given a striker is priority this summer.

Villa used to use him as a number 10 I believe but shifted him wide to solidify their midfield when they got promoted (one of our resident Villa fans could probably explain better.) Obviously there is a difference between being a CM in our side to being one in Villa’s team. Providing he ups his...

Think Negredo got his shoulder injury same week as that Spurs game too at West Ham. Kun and Negredo had been unstoppable up to that point, both at their peak and a perfect duo.

Has he been on a bender though? Seemed to be in Mykonos after the euros with several other England players but that’s it.

Hopefully Jorge Mendes can convince Atletico to part with some decent cash for Bernardo.

One or the other I reckon but not both. If we get any more that £40m for Jesus or £50m for Bernie id be amazed.

If Pep was planning to use Sterling as a false 9 surely we’d have seen it a bit more often last season when every man and his dog played there for us

Jorginho/Sanchez as well but in fairness all three of those deals were subject to last minute u-turns

Agree long term, just think Pep won’t trust him in the centre straight away much like he didn’t with Bernardo. Phil has a bit of a head start in that regard!

Might see more of Phil as a CM going into next season if Grealish signs?

We had to have confidence we would get our target. Aguero on the books would take up a squad space and big wages, neither could we afford if we wanted a new striker.

Didn’t an ITK on here allude to that point earlier this week? Mattyb?

Let’s not pretend we haven’t paid top whack fees in the past. We just haven’t had the need to do it in the last 3-4 years when fees have inflated further. Ederson was a record for a keeper at the time, Stones just short of the record for a defender. KDB was a huge fee back in 2015 as was Sterling.

I never expected Jesus to be on his way this summer, but if that is the case you have to assume Pep agrees with you there. In fairness I don’t think I’ve ever seen him so excited about a City player as he was with Torres after the Newcastle game.

    City’s New Kits - 2021/22

This is the worst home kit we have had in some time, absolutely awful

Yeah I remember that. Didn’t he have a photo of him going in for his medical? Villa fans were all saying it was photoshopped hahaha

To be fair some of the best bits of ITK posting in the past have come from weird sources. Remember the poster who was on a cruise with Joe Royle and found out we were signing Rodwell.. Not saying this fella is right but he’s put his neck on the line anyway.
