I don't agree.

What's a snowflake? Or a nation of snowflakes? I know we have a generation of lazy feckers who wouldn't lift a cup to help at home and bury their heads in phone watching eejits....but they seem no worse than the kids I grew up with in the 70s who had their own distractions and vices.

You seem to forget what we had in Walker, Fernandinho, Kompany and Bernardo (to name a few). All monsters at one thing or another. Not just technically good. Technical capabilities should be a given at this stage. Freakishly fast/strong/athletic is the difference maker on top of that imo.

Is that not Reijnders? Bernardo imo was a unicorn anyway. Just like Yaya or Aguero. You don't just replace them with similar because they don't exist. That said if there is some player out there who can run a marathon and be an attacking threat and be a monster tackler and scores incredible...

Just binged 3 episodes of Pluribus. It's really interesting and enjoyable. Hope it stays strong. I should have waited until after Christmas though for all 10 episodes to be there.

I often marvel at how lucky I am to be born here in Ireland. That said I still hear the odd comments that seem to disguise undercurrents of class elitism, racism, anti-immigrant or right wing nationalism. Why can't we just treat everyone with respect? Ideally our kids would be better than us...

Death by Lightening (on Netflix) is excellent. Only 4 episodes. Like a beautifully crafted movie.
