Surely professional pride will kick in? How can more or less every player's form have dropped off a cliff simultaneously? Even a defeat with a spirited display would be something to build on but another abject shambles would be impossible to come back from.

It's hard to imagine that Silver Lake would be investing even more if they thought there was a chance that severe sanctions (or any really) would be incoming. If there was a hint of risk they would wait for the outcome rather than saying 'fuck it, let's roll the dice'.

I doubt the likes of Soriano is the slightest bit worried about what might happen in the future. The current revenue figures are the only ones he is interested in. If we hit a prolonged slump in performance and then obviously attendances he will have moved on anyway.

That information is nothing of real substance. It's paused prior to closing arguments from both sides. It isn't favouring either party.

I have to say there has been hardly anything leaked or briefed about the hearing to date. Nothing from the club and nothing from the PL that I've seen. You might have expected stuff from favoured outlets saying that the PL are very happy with how it's going and are confident about the outcome...

From a commercial perspective it is better to have the stadium only 90% full at high prices rather than full but with prices 20% lower for instance.

The outcome of any appeal would be highly unlikely by the end of next year from what our experts have said. Once the initial judgement has been released both parties would then have their legal teams on it and one or both might decide to appeal. That process takes time to get their arguments...

Not soon. Other than that you can put your own guess in. I've been saying March for a while but if the hearing hasn't actually concluded yet I'd say later than that now.
