    Palace or Stoke

I went to that. Was it not 2-0 though, Adebayor and maybe SWP scored? I pray it is somehow Palace as that's very local to me

AC Milan walk off pitch because of Racists

Exactly. Very well done to Prince-Boateng and Milan for doing this but it was a friendly game against a side no one had heard of. I wonder what UEFA would do if a team did this in a CL or Europa match or an international (e.g. England U-21 in Serbia a few months ago or us in Porto last season)...

Metro Tram stop at COMS - Etihad

Yeah, obviously that's different but you see loads waiting for a bus just to go back to town. It's only about 1.5 miles!

Metro Tram stop at COMS - Etihad

I never understand if you're young and fit enough to walk it back to town post match the huge crush for the buses and guessing it will be same for the trams once they eventually start running. In the time it takes to get a bus and for it trundle into the traffic up to Piccadilly you can be at...

    QPR - restricted view

Re: QPR Restricted views Oh that's a pain in the arse. For Southern Blues despite the somewhat basic set up QPR always a favourite.

    QPR - restricted view

Re: QPR Restricted views Are we going to take both tiers again for this one do people think? Only a member but still managed to get 2 last year for a Saturday KO so was thinking it would be a doddle this year for a midweeker.

Re: Watford at Home should be a great FA Cup Day Oh it's open alright, I was sold two in CBE 3rd tier this lunchtime.

City Vs Watford (FA Cup) Pre Match Discussion Thread

Re: Watford at Home should be a great FA Cup Day I was just going to get a couple on Friday or even on the day but after seeing a bit of a buzz about the game on here and on Facebook got two today. The girl in the ticket office said it will be very close to a sell out, deffo 40k plus easy. Hats...

Panic on the streets of Timperley

As a Timperley lad his top tune would have to be the Altrincham FC hymn 'The Robins aren't bobbins'. On Saturday's at 5 to 3....

    Millwall at the Etihad?

Yeah but if you look at the current bottom 3 it's all southern teams. With the relegation of both notlob and t'Rovers the North West cleared house of the greater part of its bottom markers last season. This year I think your PL relegated teams will have at least a couple from down south.

    Rag excuses in general

Yes, it's a popular one that is re Bobby Manc and our title win last season in rag circles, I've seen it mentioned before too that we should have had it wrapped up by Easter. This is a somewhat transparent attempt to cover up their astonishing 8 point bottle job in the final weeks though and as...

    Queens of the Stone Age

Saw them at the Kentish Town Forum back in 2002 on the Songs for the Deaf tour with Dave Grohl on drums and before Nick Oliveri was kicked out. One of the best 5 gigs I've ever been to in my life, live they are immense.

    Best pubs you have frequented.

Old Market the best real ale pub in Alty/Sale area by a long chalk, also some decent covers bands in there on weekends. The Railway in Hale Village a lovely boozer in that area too. Alty town centre gone completely downhill last 15 years though and a lot of the old pubs with it.

    Millwall at the Etihad?

I have a Millwall ST holder mate and he's been raving about how they've been playing recently, seems everyone is very optimistic down at the Den. I don't think they'd enjoy all the lunchtime kick offs, huge police presence and getting shat on every week if they got promoted though.

    York AWAY

Born and raised in Timperley and went to school in Alty but live in that London now! The poncy bit was my own attempt at humour as you will be aware most of Alty is big rag country and you don't tend to see many Blues round there, my old man (a rag) derides City as a North and East Manchester club!

    York AWAY

How has this thread reached 11 pages and spelling Altrincham with a 'g' has not been picked up on. We clearly don't have enough fans on the poncy side of the city.

    The Sun again

Yes, the commentary tonight was predictably negative about City, even slagging off the fact that the ground was ooh about 1800 short of capacity after Swansea sent back half their tickets. This was not mentioned but instead it was the fault of City ST holders not turning up apparently though...

West Brom Vs CityPost Match Discussion Thread

I was sat in West Brom's East Stand with all the home fans so very interesting to see how they saw the game. Lots of whinging about us being a dirty side, constantly fouling and getting away with it and they wanted Yaya sent off as well. They were disappointed that they didn't take the...

    Hughes sacked

Re: not long left for hughes I've have a big QPR ST mate who was there tonight. His full time text 'Lose at WBA on Saturday and he'll be gone'. He'll be truffling round with the likes of Steve Bruce for a mediocre Championship outfit in a years time
