the ironic thing is I thought we were being more practical and safe with some of our clearances in the first half, there was one from Bernardo that springs to mind where he just did a big clearance up the field rather than trying to play out, and I thought oh maybe we are being more practical in...
It will be a massive mistake to play Reis and Khusanov in this game in my opinion...you need experienced heads in the spine at least in a game like this...at home they would have been fine, but away is asking for trouble...you know they will go for big throws, corners, lumping it into the box...
To the tune of Mr Brightside:
Jealousy, we're the team you'll never be,
Dreaming of what you can't buy,
Choking as we pass you by.
Say we've got no history,
We've seen things you'll never see,
You can't take away our pride.....
We’re Man City from Moss Side!
Oh Abdu Khusanov, he's from Uzbekistan,
He'll break your fookin legs, he's harder than Japp Stam,
He plays in blue and white,
For Guardiola's men,
And when we win fook all,
We'll sing this song again
Oh Abdu Khusanov, he's from Uzbekistan,
He'll break your fookin legs, he's harder than Japp Stam,
He plays in blue and white,
For Guardiola's men,
And when we win fook all,
We'll sing this song again
He's Egyptian, he's fantastic,
he's the greatest centre forward in the world.
He's the ace, he's amazing,
He's the strongest, he's the quickest, he's the best.
Omar Marmoush,
Omar Marmoush,
Omar Marmoooooooush
Look at that opening paragraph there, for defining a narrative about their crowd (which we all know is bollox) and then compare to the stuff we get written about us.
By the way Daniel Austin is a Liverpool fan who writes for LFCTV and even goes to away games:
This is what we are up against...
it's almost like watching some kind of psychotic sprint race as their attackers and our defenders jostle to get into a sprint race, with the whole of our half to run in to....it really is kamikaze football, it worked when we dominated the ball with purpose but now we are just inviting it on
I think play this similar to the 0-0 a few years back when Laporte played left back and Mahrez missed the last minute penalty to win it....that game proved that Pep can be pragmatic and hopefully he can set us up in a similar way Sunday....having Dias back in the heart of the defence would help...
