    Arsenal Thread | 2025/26

They were excellent last night. Brilliantly organized and played some good stuff. They‘ve built a really strong squad, and the ‚lesser’ players can plug into the system easily. Annoying, but impressive.

    Pep Guardiola - 2025/26

Very few of those Pep non-negotiables remain. We don‘t press well. We’re not compact as a team. We don’t have those clear, and clearly drilled, patterns for playing out from the back and through the lines. We don’t put much of a premium on dominating the centre of the pitch (in terms of quality...

    The Squad planning thread

Been done to death but our recruitment post-treble has been dreadful. In years past, there would have been 2 or 3 players of lesser quality mixed in among the rest. Now it‘s 7 or 8, maybe even more, like that. And it‘s not just quality but also the profile of the squad. We‘re nowhere near as...

Technical ability of the squad isn't good enough.

I think it’s both. We‘ve stripped out so much technical ability and footballing intelligence from the squad, in favour of players who can run and dribble. And yet somehow, we‘re also dreadful physically. It‘s been quite the feat to take the team that, for the last few months of the treble...

    14 | Nico Gonzalez - 2025/26

Made a decent fist of an impossible task. Looked absolutely gassed though second half.

Leverkusen (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

The drop off in technical quality - and footballing intelligence - since we won the treble is staggering. And yet despite seemingly prioritizing players who can run and play ‚in the transitions‘, we‘re also physically awful. Slow, piss-weak, immobile, unfit.

Leverkusen (H) | CL | Post Match Thread

Stunningly wank. No positives at all, not a single decent performance. Appalling team selection. Matched only by our appalling ‚tactics‘.

Match Thread | Manchester City vs. B.Leverkusen (25/11/25)

To be fair, an under-8s team could play through our press.

Laughably bad. Ake‘s done. Can‘t move his feet.

Relying on Lewis, Reijnders, Savinho and Bobb to create chances. Always going to be a slog.

Shit technically, shit physically and shit tactically. Apart from that, all good.

Is the club going to put in an official complaint about the officiating on Saturday?

No point complaining about fouls, handballs etc. Smacks of sour grapes. But we should be demanding clarification on the process leading to the decision on their second - why wasn‘t the automated image shown immediately, why did it take so long for it to appear, why was it so obviously different...

Newcastle United (A) | PL | Post Match Thread

Didn‘t play very well, so no major complaints about the result. Decisions were farcical though. Clear foul on Foden, their winner obviously offside. That second one stunningly bent.

Dreadful. Batting in the first innings was shite, but that second innings on a fairly docile pitch was just utter wank.

Embarrassing. If you‘re going to talk yourself up and not bother with any proper preparation, it isn‘t a good look to perform so abjectly in the first couple of sessions.

Woke up, checked the score, 115-5 … From what I can tell: Starc bowled beautifully, Root got a good one, Crawley played a typically daft shot in the first over. Pope and Stokes got out at shit times either side of lunch. For all the talk about everything resting on Stokes as key man, his batting...

    Jude Bellingham

Aside from being a giant twat, he‘s just not particularly suited to playing as a 10 behind a striker. He‘s not good on the half turn or in tight spaces, he‘s not especially creative. He‘s a box crasher - good physicality, and a decent eye for goal.

What would you change about the rules of football?

    1) scrap VAR (and with it, daft, ‚forensic‘ offsides) 2) have referees issue yellow cards for all timewasting (not only in the last 10 mins) 3) have referees penalize all the fucking stupid pushing, pulling and above all blocking of other players at set pieces. If needs be, put extra officials...

Does anyone wish we still played at Maine Road and why?

I miss the smell. That heady mix of cigar smoke, fried onions, horseshit and farts.
