    Russian invasion of Ukraine

WW2-wasn’t a war of choice for the Soviet Union, it was a war of survival, and it’s worth remembering that a large slice of that 27 million were Ukrainian.

Not sure your analogy is on point. If you lived next door to someone who you knew was burgling the houses of people in the neighbourhood when they went away for the weekend, and you went away for the weekend and your house had been burgled wouldn’t your starting point be that they did it and...

    President Trump

Your sense of ludicrousness is entirely reasoned, but still wrong imo, and ignores my primary point. The only rational starting point is that he’s being dishonest, and work back from that. Struggling to see how that’s remotely controversial.

He would most likely be, yes. That is more likely than this being as presented imo.

It’s a three stage process to follow for me. Firstly, evidentially, is this a man who is capable of lying again and again, who embraces presenting things in a way that is false without any compunction whatsoever? Someone who has no regard for the truth? Secondly, evidentially, is this man who...

I don’t care about empty seats either, and nor am I remotely insecure enough to care about about ‘big’ one club is compared to another, however if a supporter of another club gives it the Billy Big Bollocks about our attendances then, as a City supporter, I’m perfectly entitled to point out the...

    Southampton fans coming out today

Yes, the marginal numbers attending will contain significantly more bellends than the core support, for lots of reasons. Many casual (even some non) supporters who will have been there would naturally be less inclined to self regulate their behaviour than a regular match-going supporter...

I think that the semi final can often represent a perfect storm when it comes to fans’ drinking. It often occurs in conjunction with the first decent weather of the year, and that, combined with the late afternoon kick-off means that many have been drinking in the sun for several hours before...

It’s Truly Amazing how football fans will travel to watch a Match,

Know someone who met two Australians (father and son) in Cardiff who had flown to the UK for the weekend to watch a rugby match and they drank pretty much non stop from the airport at Sydney on the Friday morning to when they got on the return flight at Heathrow on the Sunday. That is hardcore tbf.

There has been an average of over 12,000 empty seats at Sheffield Wednesday home games this season.

He was unusually conciliatory afterwards which I thought was suspicious, like he was consciously trying to revive his ratings, like it was scripted. It’s truly come to something when someone like me, who is instinctively wary and skeptical of conspiracy theories, has a default position to...
