    Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

Great point about the siting of the away fans killing the atmosphere.

    Wycombe (H) - EFL Cup R3 - Tue 21 Sep 19:45 | Pre-Match Thread

Might as well play the full Academy team plus Carson, Mahrez and Sterling. Dias and Cancelo should definitely not be involved.

    Media Thread - 2021/22

Remember her on the Sunday Supplement several years ago saying how she fell in love with football watching Liverpool...Keegan, Heighway and their early 70s team. It was at that time that we were dominating (17-18) and being accused of making the game boring by being so good...so of course she...

    #7 | Raheem Sterling - 2021/22 Performances

Don't mind him missing chances as opposed to not scoring or laying on assists - there's just been nothing in his game to merit his inclusion for a long time. Basic ball control seems to be a problem for him. No idea why he's regressed so much but he looks a square peg in a round hole...

    Jimmy Greaves RIP

A goal scoring genius. Never liked 'The Saint and Greavsie' show tbh but he was perhaps the greatest natural goal scorer this country has ever produced. Always interesting listening to him talking about the 1966 World Cup Final and his emotions about being left out. At least he got his Winners'...

Southampton (H) | Post Match Thread

Counter attacks still have to be stopped, 50-50s still have to be won, turnovers in possession in our favour still need to be exploited before the opposition can re-organise. Being such a one-paced team does us no favours in these aspects of the game. A player can be strong, athletic and quick...

Southampton (H) | Post Match Thread

It seems that Pep has accidentally found the formula for getting the stadium full and for making the majority stay until the final whistle. Seriously - Southampton severely limited us and we were miles off it today.

No - it was immediately in front of him - Fernandinho and, to a lesser extent, Gundogan.

Southampton (H) | Post Match Thread

I noticed he moved Jesus into the middle and Sterling out wide at the start of the second half - not that it made any difference but he did try to tweak it before he started making the subs. Southampton just had the shackles on our build up play from the first whistle.

Southampton (H) | Post Match Thread

We were well off it today. Southampton stopped us with their pressing and disciplined approach. Credit to them they fully deserved theor point. The game became very fragmented and bitty - every time we looked to try and build some momentum there seemed to be an injury stoppage. City weren't...

    Etihad Atmosphere - 2021/22

As you said on Twitter, whatever was said, by whom and whatever the REAL intentions behind those comments, it's been nothing but an enormous own goal from a PR standpoint.

    Southampton (H) - Sat 18 Sep 15:00 | Pre-Match Thread

Just watched Pep's press conference. Best one he's ever done. Sheer passion of the man comes burning through. Can't wait for tomorrow now - going to be a loud and proud game.

Why didn't you go to the Leipzig game?

Being paid 23 million euros a year tends to remove him from the experience of the ordinary match-going fan.

Why didn't you go to the Leipzig game?

After working all day I'm not prepared to brave the M6/M62/M602 to try and get to Manchester, park and then queue to get in all in time for kick off with the prospect of a late return home and getting up for work the next day. Price wasn't a factor. Time, effort and inconvenience were.
