Bunch of ignorant wankers who can’t think for themselves, probably best to treat them like most Talkshite listeners.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I’m not on X and I don’t read many articles or listen to Football news channels. I’m looking as worst case scenarios that have been mooted on here in the past, as I said I’m not as invested in this hearing as a lot on here but I’m aware enough, and wary enough, to realise we’ve been stitched...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

If it goes on like that I’ll be lucky to still be here to see it. If it’s a written decision that goes against us the reputational damage we’ve already experienced will be a lot worse. It would be very difficult for the club to grow and enhance the squad with that hanging over us.

Let’s hope so but points deduction’s has definitely been mentioned as a punishment for previous seasons.

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

How could it be normal? If we’re being demoted to a lower league and the decision is made in (say) early August it would cause absolute havoc with the fixtures, for all the leagues concerned, the TV picks, travelling and even down to City and the Rags not playing at home the same weekend which...

PL charge City for alleged breaches of financial rules

I’ve got no idea how the case has gone or indeed have an in depth knowledge of the hearing but what I can say is the fixtures are out next Friday. If we’re included we’ve not been demoted but could still receive a points deduction that renders us “lame” for a couple of seasons, that would...

West Ham United Thread | 2025/26 - Owner Sullivan revealed as PL boss under investigation (P12)

Don’t understand your response, I’d agreed with your argument but tried to put a bit of reason on the flimsy content of the documentary, and you say “shut the fuck up”, I can only imagine you’ve misread my interpretation of the situation.

West Ham United Thread | 2025/26 - Owner Sullivan revealed as PL boss under investigation (P12)

It was, did you not get the feeling the Panorama team shat their pants and pulled evidence that would have been more explosive but open to defamatory challenges? Was, as Denis Healey said about Geoffrey Howe , “like being savaged by a dead sheep” BBC totally ballsed up once again but they...

No idea where you’ve got information that bitter was generally 5% or more in the 70’s, mainstream beers were never more than 4%, normally around 3:5%. As for Tiswas, I was well aware it was the antithesis to the kids Swap shop but it was labelled as a “Children’s” programme on ITV. When I...

    Wetherspoon

When I started having a beer there were plenty of boozers/clubs that didn’t even serve lager so mild and bitter were the only options. They tended to be in the range of around 3.8% However the FOC’s on here will remember Chester’s mild which was known as “fighting ale” in reality it was max...

20 of us are on a golf trip to Portal in July, we were thinking of taking the breakfast when we got to the Macdonald Hotel where we’re playing golf in the afternoon. I enquired about the price and was quoted £24! So, online, found a Spoon’s in Winsford which is on our way, small breakfast...

5am for us, got on a “fan bus”, dropped 8 miles from our hotel, first taxi wanted €400, got one an hour later for the equivalent of £110 after being quoted ridiculous prices for 5 of us. Been on the go since very early morning as we flew to Istanbul from Bodrum on the day of the match. Had the...

The OP said “the greatest night”, the 11th was past midnight, therefore it was technically the morning. Anyway I was being pedantic, I was there and just looked at my photos.

Yep, and being given dispensation to claim an additional 80m for Covid and dodgy share dealings, it’s bent in the extreme.

    Joke thread

Not a joke but a true story triggered this morning by the death of my mate’s dad. He was in a Brass Band and one of his fellow “blowers” and best mate was a guy called Ray. Going back to the 60’s, the midwife delivered Ray’s seventh child, a healthy baby girl. As the child popped out the...

As Samantha says (if you know, you know), “there’s nothing better than going to the cinema to watch a horror film, sitting on the back row and getting the willies for 90 minutes”.
