    The Eddie McGoldrick paradox

I was thinking Nery Castillo, who.had an incredible showreel but flopped during his brief time at City. However, he was largely unknown. But in terms of high profile it's got to be Mike Channon, who was presumably bought on the strength of a photograph. He was better suited to being a big fish...

    The “Hateful Eight”

The line in the sand between ourselves and the rags was drawn decades ago, but there's barely a playing card's width between our oldest enemy and the Scousers these days.

    Media Thread - 2019/20

Funnily enough, I was sitting with Roger Dilkes on the train back from London about 20 years ago. I'd been to see City, he'd been reffing another match. When I asked him who was the worst player to ref, without hesitation he said it was Kenny Dalglish. Moaned about everything apparently.

    Mahrez's flat burgled

Looks like Light-Fingered Lil has paid Mahrez a visit. Must be a hell of a watch. Most people I know don't live in a house worth as much as that! https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2020/05/30/riyad-mahrez-has-500000-worth-valuables-stolen-raid-home/

This has gone on for decades. Matt Busby recognised the importance of looking after the gentlemen of the press as they would respond in kind; they were well catered for at The Swamp. Ironically, members of the media always agreed that they were well loooked after in the half-time refreshments...
